Vaingirls Happy New Year

Congrats Jezzi! A great new start to usher in the new year.

Of all of them, I got a kick out of 'Change of Command' -- 'The Spirits of Femininity' and 'Ring of Feminiinty' both got a special chuckle out of me. ...And as for 'Room of Temptation', well, DAMNED STRAIGHT I WOULD!

Aahhh, so good to see more VG lovelies, dearest JS. And congrats on finally getting you IT upgrade. I'd be very interested in what tools you decide to use for your goodies on the new sys. What you've produced has a lot more detail and sophistication that mine simply because I've opted for cheap simplistic tools like GIMP (free). I'm jst not willing to dish out a lot of $$$ for apps that have steep learning curves and ongoing costs for upgrades, addons, etc.

The four apps I used came to less than $100. total. I used the "paint" part of Appleworks, which came with my iMac, and bought ColorIt, a much cheaper photoshop type, Comic lLife (by Plasq) for speech/thought bubbles, and Printshop for headlines and other graphics. Unfortunately only Comic Life and Printshop have versions that will work with anything higher than OS X.6, though ColorIt is working on one. My new Mac is where my acting $$ have gone: OS X.10.2 with a 27" screen - pretty spiffy!

I hope they make your work easier. I'm afraid I'm ging to need my old programs for a long time coming.... (Good old Social Security keeps finding new excuses to deduct more and more from my already meager monthly check!)

Wow, what a great variety! My fave is #2324. Betty Boop was the sexiest toon out there until JR, so its a wonderful mixture of old and new.

Thanks, Lorna. I always pick my favorite for each ten. Mine were 2322 and 2339. There's a restaurant near where I live that's entire decor is based on Betty Boop..
