Sarabeth can be blamed for igniting my fascination with recapped toons back in the '80s (yes, I'm that old). She became a near dear friend after we met through Cathy Slavik, publisher of the now defunct Empathy Press. Some may recognize one of SB's older non-de-plume's, "Sally Willows", an homage to the classic TG novel "Turnabout" (1931) by Thorne Smith and the same-named 1940 movie directed by Hal Roach (with John Hubbard & Carol Landis). Note that the 'Tim' character is also an homage to the other title character.
We exchanged mail (no Web) for a long time, and was the first person I know of who dabbled in toon re-captioning. Don't know for sure what all her sources were, but a major one was a late 1960's) adult comic magazine published in the late 1960's. Some of that original art is available @ ComicStripFan .
Sara also dabbled in TG-theme writing, including a couple of unfinished co-authorships with me and others. But, to my knowledge has never gone public with anything other than these toons which she gave me permission to post on my Yahoo group back when I first launched. Since she's gone out of touch, I hope that she agrees with my decision to move her funnies to TGCaps where the audience is (IMHO) more appreciative of her work, dated though they may be.
She's been a wonderful friend for many years, one of the rare people whom I have met personally who shared my enthusiasm for the TG genre. Sadly, we've had no contact for some time, and she was considering giving up our 'hobby', but I know she's out there and hope she knows that I'm still thinking of her with great affection. I pray that she is well and happy.

Thanks for posting these, Sis. My favorites are 15, 20, 25, 34, and 46. I especially like 25 because of the title, Third Wish", which says it all.

Hi Lorna, true friendships can be so rare and occasionally fleeting on the net. If people chose to 'go away' it can be sad as we often wonder what happened to them and sadly will never know.
But I am sure she would be aware that a true friend such as yourself will still be around,
cheers,
Helen

I recall seeing this one, Sara Silly 61 'Something Important' , in other sites, I'd suggest it's become a bit of a classic among those of us who enjoy T caps.
Sara Silly 56 'Marketing', brings to mind two of the larger stores here in Melbourne, Myers and David Jones. Both are very upmarket in all aspects of fashion. What is great too is the amount of young men in the make-up counters, they wear full make-up. Look great too. I look forward to the day when they have males working in the dress section.
Great collection Lorna, thanks for sharing them with us,
Helen

Hi, Lorna,

A quick chance to check some of the new stuff and I enjoyed your friend Sarabeth's olde tyme cartoon recaps. Just one note, though.... The last one (#67) I've seen before and that looks like the original caption it was published with, though I could be wrong.

Otherwise, she makes a fine new addition to the site!

These are really great, Lorna. I'm getting into the old gag toons and find their re-capping to be very satisfying! It really is amazing how the internet has simplified the sharing of items like this. Hooray for science and technology! (Now if only they can perfect gendermorphing...)
