Jezzi, I like your Victorian covers. They remind me of the tg masterpiece MISS HIGH HEELS. I also enjoyed all your covers particularly the one with the aliens which reminded me of another great story, Karen Anne Summerfield's THE ALIENS AND THE PONYGIRL. If only someone would illustrate that.

Regarding the "Wilbur" comics published by Archie, I looked around a bit and discovered that, oddly enough, Wilbur predates Archie!

Obviously, Archie was the big hit, though, and I haven't run into any explanations for why they kept the extremely similar Wilbur feature around and/or didn't try to differentiate it from Archie in some way. Wikipedia suggests they eventually did in the late '60s, though at first glance That Wilkin Boy doesn't seem to have any clear connection to Wilbur.

Both could provide good material for recaptioning, though! One of the problems I have with using Archie material is that the characters are so recognizable that you more or less have to tell a "TG Archie" story. But with less-familiar characters, it's easier to switch things around more.

A great and varied batch as always, re the Victorian dress, I supose 'having' to wear those confining but so feminine things day in and out would be part of the attraction for some!!! (I admit it, including me!!!)
In #1039 though, it's not clear what the cop is doing that is relevant to the story. Great expression on 'her' face, well picked.
I'm sure that we are all pleased Seymour Plukowitz got in touch to encourage you,
cheers,
Helen

Loved the new batch, Jezzi. "More Deadly Than The Male" is a theme I've played with too. The pink outfit in "Dimitri's Birthday Present" is perfect for the theme.

As for Victorian fashions... Either Regency (comes of too many Georgette Heyer novels) or Edwardian is more my speed. I posted this before somewhere on TGComics, but I can't find it now to link, so here it is again. I always intended to turn it into one of my "male heroes as women" covers, but could never find a suitable background. I'd have to do something about that wall of text too...

An enjoyable selection of Vaingirls as usual. But so often they leave you hanging there awaiting a definitive conclusion. So have you ever given thought to doing of trilogy of covers to suggest a beginning, middle, and end? The stories need not always end with a question mark.

I've been suggesting for a while that Jezzi should try a full-story recap. I'd love to see some of these story ideas expanded on.

AndiJF As an avid Holmes fan for many years and have often considered the great man using female guise as he has adopted many other persona's in his career.
Great cap! Thanks,
Helen
