The latest "Body Crime" uploads. Only a few of them are new or newish.

The "Body Crime" catalog finally hits the 1980s in force. Juicy, word-balloony covers are out. Hard-boiled images with "story slugs" are in.

"Triple Cross in High Heels": Good luck following those pronouns. This was the first cover I ever made in this style, and I hadn't quite figured out how I wanted to handle those slugs. When I returned to it, I decided to leave the byzantine grammar unchanged because ... Well, let's just see what people say.

"The Honeymoon Killers": This was the first of a pattern you'll start to see over the next few updates: covers that reprise stories from earlier modcovers. I went for this kind of thing in two situations: First (as in this case) where I thought the revision would clarify an obscure original.

"Trouble in Paradise": I've nothing to say about this one, except that it is either my bestest favorite of the batch or my leastest favorite.

"A Crook in Curves": The original cover is from the 1950s, and one of my favorites.

"The Bloods and the Bobbysoxers": It's for you to tell me if you can figure out what is going on.

"A Gun in the Oven": The other "retelling" in this batch. The original was pretty explicit, so this is a "retelling" I wanted to do just because I thought the cover was such an awesome alternate take on a story I'd already done.

"The Face that Launched 1000 Capers": I think this one strains after its TG theme. I'm not sure how to improve it without tripling the size of that wall of words, which IMO is NOT a price worth paying.

"Falling Star": I think it was AndiJF who asked, when I first posted this one: "Is the guy with the laser gun from the not-too-distant future?" To which I can only reply: I didn't draw that really funky artwork. I mean, look at her right leg, and the whole way her torso is twisted at the waist. This is a woman who is running in about three different directions at once. We might even put this situation down to a mercy killing.

I reckon my favourites are Triple Cross, the plot line alone is from Black Adder, so convoluted, loved it. And the guys expression in 'Trouble in Paradise' is just perfect for the caption.

I think "A Gun in the Oven" made me laugh the most.
I wonder if Frontios saw it?
