Hi everyone, I was visiting a Yahoo group called transgendermovies ? Transgender Movies and found reference to a new movie, it sounds like a variation of Tootsie but the photos are interesting. I did a bit of Googling came up with this info and these great photos. I thought you all may be interested.


Universal Picture To Make 'Rubbeldiekatz'
Universal Pictures International has boarded Detlev Buck's upcoming project starring Matthias Schweighoefer ("Friendship").
Based on a screenplay by Anika Decker ("Rabbit Without Ears"), the comedy, previously known as "Woman in Love" but now carrying the working title of "Rubbeldiekatz," follows an unsuccessful actor, played by Matthias Schweighoefer, whose life takes a dramatic turn when he is mistakenly cast as a woman in a big Hollywood pic. Alexandra Maria Lara ("Farewell") co-stars.

Out of curiosity, is this of no interest to anyone? Got posted in February and no one has posted. Hmmmmm......... very interesting.

I saw the same pictures at the same Yahoo Group site, and I'm definitely intrigued, though it's the sort of movie we're unlikely to ever see here, at least in translated legal form.

Hi Seudenim, it would be great to see a good version of this in English. Is there a dubbed or subtitled version?

As far as I can tell, the movie hasn't even had its theatrical release in the German-speaking world yet. The above pictures are all pre-release PR, I believe.

We can only look forward to a movie on this subject that is perhaps of better quality than the titterfest the subject usually generates.
