I don't know if ads are permitted in this section but just in case I'm sending some and I'd love to know your opinions.

Note: of course they are not real ads.

I really enjoyed these, especially "Karen's Boutique". I think that imaginary ads and catalogs are an interesting addition to the other ideas presented on this website and in these forums.

The one thing that I question is having the year 2007 on the first two catalogs. For the sake of verisimilitude, it's almost required. On the other hand, the dresses and hairstyles (and hats!) are very 50s/60s.

I think that it may be better to just label them as a "Spring/Summer catalog" and a "Spring catalog", and then let the reader imagine some ideal alternate universe where fine women's clothing are sold specifically for T-Girls, and are designed in T-Girl sizes and for T-Girl builds (rather than the impractical fantasy and clubwear that's mostly offered for TGs--but I guess that's what sells).

I notice Karen's Boutique actually has a 1955 year in small print.

Catalogs like these were a huge part of the "Fem Is In" Elle-Boy movement of the late '60s, as explored in the "History of TGC" section. CD Fashions is my fave catalog outlet, with all that feminine menswear in the right sizes!

You're absolutely right SoCal!

And I really don'r know why I put 2007 instead of it's real date.

Maybe in was the excitement of trying it for my first time.

Been meaning to say that I think doing TG ads is not only permitted, but encouraged! Nice effort, Mary Anne!
