House of Should be Modified

I think these issues of House of Mystery from the 50's are ripe to be remade into TG covers, but as I don't have photoshop I thought I would pass them along for perhaps others to use.

Something could done with this perhaps	Perhaps also using this one	and 3 other that seem to me at least	to have potential
Know what I mean?

Thought I would try my hand at this with a simple head swap. It's my first try so please go easy on me. :p


Also want to point out that the first image LOOKS pre-modified. The womans body has what looks like blonde hair and the bubble next to her has a brunette head.

I have a fairly good memory for the covers that I've seen before, and if I'm unsure, I've got a pretty good collection of comic book recaps on my hard drive. Even with those resources, I've still managed to create three recaps for comic books that I thought had never been used before, only to later discover two had already been used by femur and one used by Jenny North. :-(

My Turnabout Club #1 was originally femur's Spells R Us SRU55.

My T-Girl Love Stories #145 was originally femur's Spells R Us SRU073 (and later a Jezzi Sterwart Vaingirls).

And my Tell it to the Marines #4 was originally Jenny North's (TGFA.org) Transgender Weapons of the Third Reich.

Gulliver Arkham's suggested covers at the head of this column got the old brainpan grinding. The first two covers of House of Mystery..well, they didn't do it for me.... But, the last three were immediate inspirations.

I know I have used at least two of them - SH and HMAK - and possibly another THTC, for Vaingirls covers and I'll repost them here later. I would like to say that I don't see anything wrong with us all deliberately using some of the same originals as long as we don't intentionally do the same take on them that someone else has already used. If I come across an original I like that I know someone else has done, I try to at least switch the hero(ine) from his/hers. I deliberately post my original's title or source so that others can find and use them.
That said, I think it's bound to happen, because to some degree we all think alike and have all probably read many of the same TG stories, that we will inadvertently use the same originals with the same take, not having come across the previous work.
