Ad for Crossdresser's Club?

Part of a great series on comic book ads, the first one here, for "Famous Frocks," is more than a little perplexing.

In 1956, comic books were targeted squarely at boys and girls, not the housewives who would be Fashion Frocks' usual customers.

My theory is that Fashion Frocks was trying to branch out into providing a discreet service to young CDs!

I see what you mean, considering the target of the comic audience it certainly has a degree of ambiguity to it. if I had seen this ad I may have signed up!

Wow! I took one look at these images...and they just SCREAMED "Do me!". In five minutes of scanning them, I came up with a bunch of new ideas. It'll take a little manipulating, but I can't wait to try them out.
As one old newspaper cartoonist used to put it, "Thanx".
