I started to fiddle with this, and it dawned on me that it didn't really need modifying.

These covers could probably be tweaked a bit to make any TG interpretations more obvious, but I offer them here unrecapped.

I think that there are quite a few covers in the first comic book series, "Confessions of the Lovelorn" (The Magazine that dares tell the truth! ), that could be recapped as a series titled "Confessions of a Transvestite". ;-)

The issue of Romantic Story might be aimed at young T-Girls who prefer female companionship (Shirley Jones pinup! Rowr!)

I think Confessions Of A Crossdresser would be more satisfyingly alliterative... I'll have to check this title out in the database.

These covers often make me wonder what is going on. Why for example is the guy in the foreground wearing a tweed sports-jacket when everyone else is in evening dress? Is it part of the story, or is he just a dag?

Another cover that doesn't really need a re-caption...

Here's Girl Confessions #29.

There are several covers in that comic book series that I think would be appropriate form my re-title project (turning them into "T-Girl Confessions").

I also found My Secret #1 (Superior Publishers Limited, 1949).

From Our Secret #08 (Superior Publishers Limited, 1949):

"His kiss tore at my heart, for there was something I must tell him... Something that was going to take his love away from me... forever!

Read the stirring account of a true but tormented love in this issue!"

While searching for ideas for my re-title project (when I get the time, I'll be creating a couple of "Cross-dressing Criminals" covers), I found another cover that required no recap. My Confession #9 Fox 1949

I knew that I'd seen this same comic used for a TG recap. Here is "Secret Surprise" of the "Mock Maidens" comic books at the Modified 4 U website.

modified4u.com/images/cddmm/mockmaidens01-05.jpg A Secret Surprise issue of Mock Maidens [Update: The link now leads to a porn gateway, so I've removed the link.]

[A side note on the Modified 4 U website: There hasn't been an update on the website in roughly 2 1/2 years (since 01/26/03). I just did a WHOIS check on the website. It said that the WHOIS record expires on 01-Jul-2007. In case it turns into yet one more website that can only be found at archives.org (often with missing graphic files), anyone interested in making a personal archive of anything on the website should probably do so before July 1st.]

Update: The Modified 4 U website is now gone, and the copies of the website at Wayback Machine Internet Archive do not seem to have any graphics. :-(

Here is the copy that I saved Mock Maidens V.1 #5:

Found yet another. This time, it's "Confessions Of Romance" (Star Publications #08 [1949-1954], 1953).

"How could I tell him the truth? Should I reveal my secret or lie to the man I Love? I didn't know that one day I would have to pay for my untruths!!"

Is this another one to re-title as "Confessions of the Crossdresser"?
I lied about everything!!
