Temporary Shutdown

Sorry for this sudden, drastic move to temporarily shutdown TGCaps, but we're having a major server problem and need to iron things out before the site can continue. Due to my incredibly hectic schedule right now, I'm not sure how long this is going to take.

Just wanted to give an update and say that, unfortunately, the site is going to be down for some time. We need to move to a new host, update Zenphoto and take care of a few other behind-the-scenes thing before we can be up and running again.

So it's more than likely we'll be closed for another month or so. The forum will remain open during this time, but that's it.

That is tough. Good luck with the fix, but take the time you need.

Yep, I concur with Andi, as long as it takes. In the interim we can always post to the forum which might not be a bad idea. We can still pander to our creative juices here.

TGComics is getting fixed first, mostly done. Femur is working on TGCaps at time this is posted. Stay tuned for an update very very soon.

I'm anxious for the comeback of fully operational website soon.

Just wanted to say that it's going to be A GOOD TIME LONGER before TGCaps is up and running. I carved out some time to work on it the last few days and it's been pretty much a disaster!

TGCaps runs using ZenPhoto, and the existing format which I hacked together a couple of years ago (which apes TGComics) is completely broken due to updates to ZenPhoto. I'm trying to get things up and running using a slightly modified existing theme, but getting ZenPhoto to run properly on the new server has proven to be very, very difficult!

I'm going to keep trying, but at this point it looks like when TGCaps comes back, it's going to be a little different than what it was before.
