There could easily be a story... or two... or three... here.

The Legionnaires story is a good one, too, a genuine TG adventure, with Matter-Eater Lad temporarily turned into a girl for an undercover mission, against his will. Not as much done with the concept as there could have been, but isn't that always the case!

Here are the three covers that made the story arc "Shade the Changing Woman" in the DC comic Shade the Changing Man.

These are from 1992 for those interested in those things. It's an interesting story.

And just for those folks that missed these in the 1993-94 timeframe.

If I'm not mistaken, this was a first for J'onn J'onzz.

Not a first for J'onn, but the first time transgendered shapeshifting was actually the focus of a story. He's been shown to adopt all sorts of disguises, and at least at one point was shown to maintain about a dozen secret identities around the world, some of which were female. Neither the gender aspect nor the complex logistics of such a thing were ever delved into much, though.

The JLTF story is a good one, though I always wonder how "relevant" a sex change is for a comic

I used the Henry Aldrich cover way back in the Vaingirls 200's series, #243. The Help! I'm Trapped in My Sister's Body book is one of a Help! I'm trapped ... serieas

If we're going to deal with Todd Strasser's "Help! I'm Trapped..." series, then here's a another of Jake's adventures. Not nearly as overtly a TG cover as "Sister", but..."
