Poison: The She- Venom chronicle

"Poisons are substances that cause disturbances to organisms, usually by chemical reaction or other activity on the molecular scale, when a sufficient quantity is absorbed by an organism."

"Well hello." Spiderman narrates on top of an apartment building, "I'm your friendly neighborhood Spiderman. I was once a normal kid like most of you, until I got this little spider bit and then I was web swing around the city. I have been fighting good old fashion crime like banks and stuff. Of course sometimes I fight the big game, when I say big game I mean super villains. You know big, small, green, ugly, sometimes smelly Super villains." Spiderman continues narrating, "It's gets bad sometimes I adamant that, and sometimes things get out of hand."

"Like the time you and shocker stopped the subway system?" says his girlfriend Mary Jane Watson walking up behind him, "I can't believe you are narrating to yourself again, you're such a dork"

"Oh hello MJ and I wasn't narrating." Says Spiderman, "I was just talking out load that's all."

"Really?" says MJ

"I'm telling the truth here." Says Spiderman

"Like you have much practice with that, Mr. Parker." Says MJ

"Are still mad about how long it took for me to tell you my secret identity?" Says Spiderman, "You know I had to keep you safe and if you knew..."

"Blah blah blah I get it!" Says MJ, "Let me just tell you that if you had told me sooner, rather than six months after high school graduation. Then you would have had a lot more dates with me."

"Really?" says Spiderman

"Maybe, and maybe not." Says MJ with a smirk, "Now you said you would take me swinging with you tonight and it's almost seven and we are still here."

"Okay okay we'll go now." Says Spiderman

Spiderman pulls MJ in tells her to hold on and they both jump off the building. She screams all the way down, then at the last second, Spiderman fires off a web line. They stop every so often so MJ can catch her breath, Spiderman always asks the same questions, "Are you alright? Do you want to keep going?" She keeps giving the same answer every time, "Yes!!!"

Finely they stop at time square just in time for a broadcast from Spiderman's number one fan: J Jonah Jameson.

"Oh wait I want to see this first. He does make me laugh every now and then." Says MJ

"I don't know. He's always trying to turn the city against me." Says Spiderman

"You think the world rivals around you now don't you?" says MJ "He covers the news; he doesn't just talk about you."

"No, I don't think the world rivals around me." Says Spiderman "But he does talk about me a lot, and I am usually he's front page news."

MJ slaps Spiderman in the arm as a joke. Then they turn to watch the show.

"I fear I'm not getting though to enough of you." Says j Jonah Jameson on the big screen, "I still hear that most of you are still cheering that wall-crawling menace on. He is the worst kind of criminal; he tricks you into believing that he's a hero, while he's distorting the city around you."

"Okay bad example there." MJ aments

"I know what most of you are thinking now. You think that there most be someone out there in the city worse than Spiderman right?" Jameson continues, "Well there's not, it seems like each week he teams up with a new villain. I mean last week he and rhino destroyed part of a freeway over pass. If the police wasn't there, a lot of innocent people would have been killed. And it's all because of that Spiderman."

MJ turns back around to face Spiderman just in time to watch him punch a hole in a brick wall.

"Peter don't let that man get to you like this. He is just saying those things to get ratings. You help people and have saved the whole city, and that's more then he could ever say." Says M.J

"I know MJ." Says peter as he pulls off his mask and sits on the side of the roof, "its just rhino was on a rampage, the over pass was already coming down when I got there. And I alone got all of the people off of it well before the firemen got there."

"Peter if you wanted publicity then you wouldn't have the mask." Says MJ as she sits next to him "if you want him to say nice things about you, then maybe you should do an interview."

"No way MJ."

"Why not?" ask MJ

"I don't do interviews. Its agents my moral code, and there's nothing I could say that would stop him from slandering me in the news." Says Peter

"Then why get so upset about it?" asks MJ

"It's what he said that's all." Replies Peter, "what he said about the people reminded me about something."
"What?" asks MJ

Peter looks into MJ's green eyes, takes a breath starts but his spider since tells him to look back at the screen. He sees Jameson being handed a piece of paper, and his eyes widen.

"Speak of the devil." Says Jameson" one of that wall crawling menaces well known friends known only as Venom, has taken several cars and hung them off the side of a skyscraper. There is now word as to how they will be brought down safely."

The screen shows what he is talking about: Eight or nine cars all hanging off of each other bumper to tailgate with only a few strands of web holding them up, like looking at a giant wind chime.

"MJ do you think you can get home from here?" asks Peter as he pulls his mask back on

"Yes I think so." Says MJ, "Just take it easy alright. From what you told me about him, he's dangerous enough to do more than rough you around a bit. I don't want to have just found out about you just to watch you die."

"Well maybe then Jameson will say something good about me." Says Spiderman as a joke

Spiderman fires off a web line and swings off leaving MJ to fine her way off the roof.

"Help us!!" crises a family from one of the cars Venom strung up"

Venom jumps down from the side of the skyscraper and crawls on the thick web line which is holding up the cars and connects them from one skyscraper to the one next to it. He gets to the middle and looks down at the family and laughs at their cries.

"You should be trying to keep your children calm." Says Venom sounding like two people talking at the same time , "All that panic and moving about in there, could detach you from the line, and send you down to the street below. We don't want that after all the work we put into this work of art."

The crying continues and Venom jumps and climes down to that car and puts is face to the wind shield and looks in the car. The mother screams while the father tries to cover the kid's faces, the ten year old pushes his father's hand away and says, "Wow he looks so much cooler the Spiderman." The father pushes the son back.

"Thanks kid." Says Venom "We're making sure you get home with more of your limbs."

Venom looks up and sees Spiderman coming. He looks back at the mother and sticks his seven inch tong out and she faints. He then jumps back up to the walk way and waits for Spiderman.

"I let you go and this is what you do with your freedom Eddy?!" Says Spiderman after landing

"You didn't let us go Parker. We got away because you couldn't stop us. And stop calling us Eddy, there is no Eddy Brock. We are and always will be us, Venom." Says Venom

"You should take a break from being a villain, and stop using the 'royal we' thing so much. It's kind of weird." says Spiderman

Spiderman tries to keep his calm the best was he knows. Like MJ said Venom is very dangerous, after all his is twice as strong, fast and twice his size. There fights all ways leaves him with new bruises, and leaves him to come up with an excuse to borrow his ant May's sewing kit.

"Now instead of us fighting, why don't I help you two and bring all the cars down nice and neatly." Says Spiderman, " how's that work for you guys?"

"Your pleading makes us laugh." Says Venom " Why would we take this down? All the people down in these cars are having so much fun. Besides we are tired, it wasn't easy to bring up twelve cars by our self."

Spiderman looks down and see only nine cars hanging.

"You should work on your counting skills too." Says Spiderman

"Oh we guess we must have dropped a few." Venom says while looking down himself

"Oh enough of this!" Spiderman says then jumps into the air and over Venom

Venom fires web from his shoulders grabs him and pulls him back to Venom.

"Yes we agree with you Parker. It's over!" Says Venom

Venom throws Spiderman into the side of the skyscraper. Venom Back flips into him and they both go into the building. Spiderman quickly gets back to feet before Venom could continue his attack. Spiderman looks around to see where he was and turns back to see Venom was gone.

Venom then seeks up behind him and throws him into the other side of the office.

"How did I forget that I can't sense him?" Spiderman says to himself, "After all the time his tried to kill me, how is it that his still not a threat to my spider sense?!"

Spiderman Web swings into Venom and hits his head. Then while he roars Spiderman swings back over to him and starts whiling on his face. Harder and harder he pouches venom, giving him no chance to fight back. After awhile he stops and sees the Venom is unharmed.

"This is umm not hurting you is it?" asks Spiderman

Venom slowly shakes his head.

"Okay then." Says Spiderman just before Venom grabs him and slams him into the ground

Venom slams his foot down on Spiderman, but he rolls out of the way and get behind him. Venom looks over his shoulder and again fires two web lines and grabs Spiderman. He pulls him in onto his back, holding his arms and legs. Venom then starts slamming back first into the walls and then onto the ground itself.

"Are you having fun Parker?" asks Venom

Spiderman says nothing, in fact he gone completely lamp. Venom shakes his back to wake him up, but nothing happens.

He then unhooks him and pulls him around to see if his alive. Again he shakes him, but still nothing.
"Oh did we kill the spider sooner then we planed?" he asks himself

"We know what we planned, but he's dead now." Venom says to himself

"No!" Venom screams, "We are better for you, he is weak. He used to last so much longer."

Venom brings Spiderman closer to him so he could take a better look.

"Hello!" Says Spiderman

Venom roars and Spiderman sticks a teaser in his mouth and socks him. Venom's symbiote starts creeping off of Eddy's body, showing some of him. Then as he removes the taster, he returns back to normal. Spiderman then kicks off of Venom and lands on and broken desk.

"Since when did you start carrying a freaking taster?" asks Venom

"Well I found it in one of those desks while you were slamming me into the walls." Answers Spiderman

Back outside and inside the car with the crying family where the father is still talking with the police.

"Why is it taking so long to get us down?" asks the father, "What? I can't hear you. Well you better hope I die, or else I'm going to find you and hang you up thirty stories in the air."

"Calm down." Says the mother, "You might scar the kids."

"How can I scare them any more than they are now?" Says the father

"I'm not scared dad." Says the son

"That's my problem." Says the father

"What did he say on the phone?" asks the mother

"He said that they can't use a fire truck now, and that we have to wait." Says the father

"Why daddy?" asks the little girl "I'm scared daddy."

"It's okay." Says the mother, "how about you and your brother watch some cartoons."

She switches on the screen and they begin watching Ben 10 with headphones. Although they have to sit on the back of the front sets to get conformable.

"Is that a good idea?" asks the father "considering where we are and all?"

"I think as long as we sit still we should stay up." answers the mother," this stuff looks pretty strong, if we were going to drop then is would have been when these two were fighting on the line. Hey wait, why the hell do we have to wait up here?"

"Language, the kids." Says the father

"I'm sorry but we could die here." Says the mother

"He said that when there's two super powered guy's fighting each other like the way they are then it gets to unstable to use a ladder." Says the father

"But they have been in there for awhile now." Says the mother

"They have to move the fight away for them to save us." Answers the father

"I don't hear anything now." Says the mother, "maybe they've stopped."

A couch flies out one of the window, barely missing the cars. They hear an explosion and Venom flies out the same window. Looking dead he falls for a few stories until he fires web out form his sides. The web line pulls him onto the side of the skyscraper and he just stands up straight, as if he was still on the ground. Spiderman looks out the window and sees that Venom is still strong.

"Oh come on Venom!" says Spiderman

He jumps out the window and meets Venom, where he is still caching his breath.

"Hey before you get back to, well you kicking my ass..." Says Spiderman, "can I just ask something?"

"What is it Parker?" asks Venom

"You see I just don't get something..." Says Spiderman

Venom gives him a confused look.

"You see I get you Brock." Says Spiderman, "you blame every bad thing in your life on me, and that's why you want to kill me. Your symbiote wants me dead because I rejected it, and it has adamants issues."

"What's your point parker?" asks Venom

"Why hang up nine cars up in the air?" asks Spiderman, "it's been bugging the hell out of me."

Venom starts chucking then starts laughing.

"Honestly we got bored." Answers Venom

"Wait you did that with nine cars, terrified dozens of people out of boredom?!" Spiderman says sounding shocked "you're sick in the head, you know that right?"

"We also waited to see how that Jameson man would spin this to give you all the blame." Venom continues, "We love when he does that to you Parker."

"God I hate that guy!" says Spiderman

Venom leaps forward and swipes at Spiderman, Spiderman jumps up out of the way. They exchange some more blows, while down on street level, captain Stacy gives an order to a helicopter to get above and when he gets a shot use the big gun.

Venom throws Spiderman over to the hanging cars and slamming onto one of the cars. The impact to the car knocks the door off but he hangs in there. He looks at the driver and gets an idea. He tells him something and then touts Venom to come over to him.

Venom without thinking jumps over to the hanging cars.

"Well I guess you forgot what new Yorkers are known for when you brought nine cars into the sky." Says Spiderman"

"What are you talking about?" Asks Venom

"Here's a hint." Says Spiderman the motions for the driver to honk his horn

Like a turn New Yorker he lays down on his horn sending Venom into a fit of pain. The other drivers get the hint (along with the car with the family) and lay down on their horns. Venom is in so much pain that he can barley stay on the car. Spiderman steps to him and starts punching Eddy in his face every time it appears inside the symbiote. Venom with all his might fires off a web line to the top of the building and pulls Spiderman along with himself up to the open roof.

At first Spiderman could barely see, until the helicopter shines his light on them.

"Look Brook you can't hate me forever." Says Spiderman while they both try to get back on their feet, "you have to forgive me sometime in your life."

"When you are no more Parker!" screams Venom then leaps for Spiderman

Then time slows down almost to a stop. Spiderman's spider senses goes off, telling him that something real bad was about to happen to the roof. He looks and sees that the cop in the helicopter has a rocket launcher in hand. Spiderman tries to worn Venom about what's to come, but he can't hear him. It not until it's too late that he see the missile, Spiderman back flips off the roof just in time but Venom is still on the roof when it blows.

The explosion was powerful enough to snap a supporting line of the cars, making them slam into the building. They don't fall but now they are hanging on only one side and the line is snapping. Spiderman sees this and swings over and tells the occupants to stay still, while he moves to the last car and slowly tears off the lines and then fires some of his own and slowly starts lowing the car down. After awhile he gets the car down with safely, and then starts the next car. He gets to the last to cars when the line brakes and they go crashing down to the other cars. Without thinking he fires a web line and catches the cars. At first they are too heavy for him and he starts going down himself. Then for some unknown reason they become light enough for him to handle. He lowers the two cars as safely as he did with the other. As soon as they are on the ground the occupants are saved by the fire men.

"That wasn't so bad." Spiderman says to himself

He fires off a web line to swings off, but he stops when he hears the sound of the people cheering for Spiderman.

Spiderman gives a wave and swings off.

MJ sitting in her apartment continues watching the fight on the news.

"Once again that was Spiderman rescuing the hostages of the villain Venom with no harm to anyone." Says a female news reporter "I hate to think of what this whole thing might have looked like if we didn't have Spiderman."

"It looks like Spiderman was hurt badly." Says MJ "Peter where are you? The fight was over two hours ago. "

"Well I'm not that hurt for the record." Says Peter standing in front of the open window

MJ runs over to him and gives him a hug.

"Don't make me worry like that again." Says MJ

"You were that worried about me?" Says Peter "I guess you like me a lot more than I thought."

"Shut up you dork." Says MJ, "what took you some long to get here anyway?"

"Well I had to look for Venom, no luck on that." Says Peter" he just disappeared into the night.

"Why don't you come in and get some tea and rest." Says MJ" I saw you take quiet the beating form Venom."

"Hey you should see him now." Says Peter, "I think I might have seen him limping away."

MJ chuckles and then walks over to her night stand where she has a cup for Peter. She knew he would show up sooner or later tonight. She turns on the lights and turns off the T.V then asks Peter if he was feeling alright, then turns to him.

"I'm better now MJ." Answers Peter, "Funny an hour ago I felt like I was going to clasps, now I feel like going another round with Venom! I just feel amazing right now, almost as if..."

MJ drops the cups and Peter stops, seeing the shocked look on her face.

"What's wrong?"

Completely oblivious to the fact that he's back in the black suit.

looking forward to reading more, i noticed you made some spelling errors though. thought i'd warn you before someone is rude about it. but i'm glad to see you back dread

Chapter two

The next afternoon the next day at the Daily Bugle, Peter has arrived to deliver his pictures of last night’s battle with Venom.

“Hey Pet.” Says Jamison’s Secretary Betty Brant, “He’s inside with Mr. Robertson, I think he is a bad mood.”

“When is he not?” Says Peter

She tries not to smile, but lets out a little crack. She then motions for him to go in. As he opens the office door and steps in, he gets the feeling that he had walked into the wrong conversation.

“You have to pull it off or else we will see hell for it!” Says Mr. Robertson holding a closed laptop “I can stand some of the things you say in the paper and on the giant screen. But it’s too much and you know it. It’s irresponsible and heartless, and too much, just take it off.”

“You’re just saying that because it’s funny and we didn’t think of it first.” Says Jameson

And his feeling was right, after all.

“What’s going on?” asks Peter, “Take what off?”

“Parker!” says Jamison, “don’t you have a computer at your home?”

“Well No I’ve been….”

“Forget it!” says Jameson, “this morning some kid uploaded a video to our web site. You know the attack last night from Spiderman and his partner Venom?”

“He’s not mmm, I mean he’s not Spiderman’s partner!” Peter says then corrects himself before he gave anything away, “I saw what happen last night, Spiderman save those people from Venom.”

“Yes thank you Peter.” Says Robertson, “I’ve been telling him that all morning long.”

“Ahhh whatever.” Says Jameson, “Parker do you want to see that video?”

“Should I?” replies Peter

“You said you saw what really happen last night right?” asks Robertson

“Yes I was definitely there.” Says Peter

“He’s a grown boy Roby.” Says Jameson, “let the kid watch some entertainment.”

Jamison pulls him in to watch the video on his desk computer. While holding his shoulder Peter squints in pain, still sore from last night’s fight.

“What happen to you?” asks Jameson

“Well I umm you see umm.” Says Peter

“I just asked you a small question.” Says Jameson, “it’s not like I asked you the value of pie was.”

“Well that is…” Peter begins to say

“It was reticule question Parker.” Says Jameson, “I thought you were a smart kid. You sure do take care of your body but not your mind.”

Peter ignorers that last commit and watches the video.

The video starts off with Spiderman arriving at the fight and lands on the line holding up the cars; it looks to be a small hand healed camera. However there is no sigh of Venom, the camera is zoomed in so close to Spiderman that he is cut off.

“Hey where’s Venom?” asks Peter, “And where was this shot? Its looks like a high angel.”

“Shush Parker.” Says Jameson, “Just watch this part, I love it.”

The video cuts to the part where Spiderman waves to the crowd, and then it moves to where he jumped onto the cars and then shows the two cars that dropped. It then cuts to him waving again then cuts to black with the sound of a big crash ending the video.

“So Parker what did you think?” Asks Jameson after a big laugh, “I almost peed myself when I first watched it myself.”

Peter’s hand starts to shake with anger but he thinks about what really happened last night and that he saved those people. With that, he calms down enough to answer.

“I have to agree with Mr. Robertson here sir.” He says with a calm voice, “this could upset a lot of people. Starting with the people that were involved in the incident, it could end in a law suit.”

“Well it’s not like anyone died.” Says Jameson, “From what I gather, the only ones there was badly hurt was that wall crawling menace and that thing Venom. I say it’s fine, and funny as hell.”

“Spiderman risked his life to save those people.” Says Peter “I saw the whole thing, Venom almost killed him!”

“Well it’s a good thing that the proper authorities came in and ended that Venom thing after all. Otherwise we would be running with the head line, the body of Spiderman: the criminal within. Hay that was pretty good lets run with that when he does die.” Says Jameson

“I told you he’s not a criminal!” Says Robertson, “and Peter is right about the families that were involved.”

“Relax; I doubt Spiderman was in danger from his own partner.” Says Jameson

“Why do you think there partners?” asks Peter, “They destroyed a whole level of a building fighting each other. What about that?”

“You know they caused hundreds of dollars of damages to that building.” Replies Jameson “Don’t forget the freeway over pass. I don’t want to know how much that was. As to how I know there working together, I can’t help but see the resemblances between them. They are either brothers or he’s a bad clone but they are definitely connected.”

Peter has had enough at this point, so he decided to drop off his pictures on the desk and leave.

“I don’t think I should get any more involved in this.” Says Peter, “it sounds like you two just might be at this all day and it’s none of my business. So here are the pics from last night.”

Jameson takes the pictures and asks “Hey how did you get this one here? It looks like it’s from the building the cars are hanging from.”

“Ya Pet.” Says Robertson, “how did you get these other ones?”

“Well umm….” Says Peter “umm that’s how I hurt my shoulder; I snuck into that building during the fight. After Spiderman left, I had to get out quick, and a guard found me. I had to rush past him and I ran into a wall.”

“Wow Pet.” Says Robertson, “I didn’t think you worked so hard get your photos.”

“He’s getting that it’s a competitive world we live in.” says Jameson, “if he didn’t do things like that, then someone else will. And we wouldn’t have the pictures of Spiderman’s crimes.”

“Thanks I guess.” Says Peter, “ So can I get the pay check now?”

“You know what… “Says Jameson while lighting a cigar,“ because I’m in a good mood, I’ll pay you an extra two hundred for your troubles.”

“Wow thanks Mr. Jameson.” Says Peter, “I don’t know what to say.”

“You can say thanks and get out of my office.” Says Jameson “both of you, I want to watch the video again.”

With no word, they leave the office while watching Jameson laughing hard in his chair on the way out.

“So how is your shoulder by the way?” asks Robertson “do you think you need to see a doctor? Because I have a friend who could look at it for you.”

“Oh no I’m fine.” Replies Peter “I just need to put some ice on it later. I’ll be fine Mr. Robertson.”

“Okay then Pet.” Says Robertson “ Just take it easy from now on alright. You’re not as tough as Spiderman you know.”

Robertson heads back to his office, giving Peter time with himself while Betty fills the check out.

“You know now that I think about it…” Peter says to himself in his mind “last night I could have sworn I had a few broken ribs, now they feel fine. I know I was tough and could heal fast but not this fast.”

He flashes back to last night. He tries to see where the symbiote jumped onto him, but there were too many opportunity for it to jump onto him. He’s sure that’s it’s not the whole thing, because if it was, It would have tried to take him over; the one he was wearing was pretty tame.

His phone ringing in his pocket brings him back to reality. He sees that’s its MJ number and he answers it.

“Hello MJ.” Peter says after taking a set on a chair in front of Jameson’s office, “what’s up?”

“Are you asking what’s up with me?” asks MJ while on a subway train “because you’re the one that’s in troubled, not me.”

“I’m fine MJ.” Says Peter “besides the meeting I just had with my boss, I’m pretty cool.”

“Peter Parker don’t do that!” Says MJ”

“Do what?”

“Last night you were beaten three ways from Sunday.” MJ says with a louder tone but to too loud so that everyone else on the train wouldn’t hear, “not to mention the thing that brought the bad out you was on you. And did you get rid of it yet?”

“That was the first thing I did when I got back home.” Says Peter “by the way I don’t think that was the same one Eddy has on.”

“How do you know that?” asks MJ

“Because if it was his that jumped on to me, it would have taken full control of me the instant it got me.” Peter explains “the one I was wearing was a lot like when I first got it. I was in complete control. “

“What if it was letting you have control over it so you wouldn’t take it off?” Says MJ “and where did you put it? If you don’t mind me asking?

“I locked it in a safe I have in my apartment.” Says Peter

“Okay why do you have a safe and where did you get it?” asks MJ

“I got it from an enemy that didn’t need It.” answers Peter but now winded out of nowhere, “I emptied it out first, before I took it you know.”

“Of course you did Parker of course you did.” Says MJ, “Why do you sound like that? Wait is it because of last night? You see I told you something was wrong with you, I just knew it.”

“I’m fine MJ.” Says Peter ,“it’s just a little hot in here. Listen I need to go now, I’ll call you later Okay.”

“Okay tiger but we are not done.” Says MJ in her normal tone, “bye Peter.”

After hanging up, Peter suddenly gets an intense cramp in his abs. He takes a few deep breaths and they quickly sub side.

“Are you okay their Pet?” asks Betty “you looked like you were about to drop.”

“I’m fine.” Says Peter “I just need some air.”

Peter gets up to leave, but Betty calls him back and tells him that he forgot to get his check. He chuckles and grabs his check. However on his way out, he sees that a lot of the other reporters there are watching the video on their computers, and the rage he felt in Jameson office starts to build back up.

He needs to cool off before he loses it.

Now swinging and landing in the back ally of MJ’s apartment Peter changes into his Street closes and heads to the front door.

“Is that you Peter?” MJ asks as she steps out of the bathroom and wearing a towel, “Come in I just got out of the shower. Give me a minute to get dressed.”

Peter lets himself in hangs up his jacket and settles on the couch. It isn’t long before MJ walks out of her bathroom with a large black t shirt with “I heart Spiderman” on the front.

“Oh my god!” Peter burst out “I didn’t know you had that.”

“Shut up Parker.” Says MJ“ its laundry day. And I got this as a gift from a friend.”

“If you say so…” Says Peter

“Shut up!” says MJ”

MJ takes the set next to him and asks him to open his shirt.

“What, why?” asks Peter

“I want to see something so open up or I’ll slap you.” Says MJ

Peter obliges her, all the while chucking at MJ’s threat to slap him.

As he lifts up his gray t shirt MJ sighs with relief and smiles as she sees the red and blue of his old costume.

“You wanted to see if I was wearing the black suit didn’t you?” says Peter after guessing what she was thinking, “I told you that I Stuffit it in a safe. Don’t you believe me?”

“Yes I do trust you but…” Says MJ “ I have seen drug addicts before. I’ve seen what happens when a recovering drug addict gets reintroduced to their drug of chose. To me the symbiote is nothing more than a power drug. I don’t blame you it’s just I’ve seen you when you wore it before, you frighten me.”

“I promise I put that thing where it will never touch me.” Says Peter “and I also promised never to scare you again, let’s just watch the movies you rented.”

“Okay wait here while I get them.” Says MJ

While she stands up to get the movies she remembers something

“Hey Peter….” Says MJ”

“Yes MJ.”

“Why didn’t you call like you said you would?” asks MJ

“What?” says Peter

“You said you would call earlier, but you never did.” Says MJ “so what gives, you lose your phone or what.”

“Well I umm…” Says Peter as he tries to recall what happen today” I left the Daily Bugle and I guess I just swung around the city looking for Venom.”

“You Guess?” And you what, lost track of time for ten hours?” Sounding confused and concerned

“What!?” says Peter sounding very surprised by that fact

“Peter it’s 9:36.” Says MJ as she points to a clock “we talked on the phone around eleven, that’s about ten hours.”

As he tries to think about what happened today, the cramps from before comes back and Peter hunches over in pain

“What’s wrong Peter?” asks MJ as she rushes back to his side

“I just pulled something while I was out swinging today.” Peter says as he takes a deep breath and once again the pain leaves him “I guess I’m not as recovered as I thought.”

“Are you sure Peter?” asks MJ while holding Peters hand

“I’m fine, another day I’ll be at the top of my game.” Says Peter

“What about your memory?” asks MJ “I’m still new to this, but how often do you lose whole days?”

“I didn’t lose it I just didn’t realize just how much time I wasted out there.” Says Peter“ It’s still a trill swinging though New York City. So don’t worry about it, I’m fine.”

“Fine Peter I’ll let it go.” Says MJ “On one condition only….”

“What is that?” asks Peter”

“My condition is that if you’re wrong about what’s happing, and something is very wrong with you, you have to tell me.” Says MJ“ I want your word that you’re keep me informed on everything happening from now on. And no lies Pet, I want the truth.”

Peter once again looks into MJ’s green eyes and gives her his word to tell her everything. She smiles and gets up to get the movies.

“I hope you like the moves I got.” MJ says from her bed room ,“I heard there pretty good.”

“I’m sure whatever you got will be fine.” Peter says as he starts scratching his chest but with the ache of knowing he did not in fact remember those ten hours and what makes him more nervous, is the fact he does not know what he did, if the new symbiote had more of an effect on him then has thought…… Did it??

nice to see you writing again dread. this part has some grammer and spelling mistakes in, but as always i'm interested to see what happens next. so please keep up the good work

We're working on fixing chapter three right now. Thing are once again slow around here because one of our pets were injured by a car last night and will have to have surgery. The whole story is finished as off a few months ago so it's just the editing that’s left.

Ps. I meant it when I said I was planning on posting chapter two when I said I would, but our internet was shut off for a while. Happy you still liked the story.

Six weeks later, inside MJ's apartment, at sunset.

MJ sits on the edge of her bed watching the news. Every day she did this hoping to hear anything about

Spider-Man, but expecting she wouldn't. As far she knew, he hadn't worn the suit more than a handful

times since his fight with Venom.

Soon after the fight, Peter became increasingly distant and brooding. At first she thought it was due

to his frustrating and unsuccessful hunt for venom, but she soon realized that it was more than that.

When she attempted to share her growing concern, he immediately became agitated and defensive;

storming out of her apartment telling her that he needed time to think. Since then she had only spoken

to him a few times over the phone. Each time the talks ended the same. He still needed time to think.

Then the mention of Spider-man shook her from the internal struggle.

"You all wanted proof of Spider-man's crimes and I have it." Says Jameson, on the news

"Oh god please don't let this be true." MJ thinks to herself fearfully.

"Over the past few weeks now, criminals have been found beaten to the edge of death." Jameson claims.

"I know you must be thinking "well they committed crimes, they probably deserved it." But that is for

the law to decide. Not some masked vigilante, who has now gone too far! At first these "Criminals" a

better term being "Victims", were found at the scene of their crime or close by, having tried to

escape from this spider themed thug. This time though the Spider-bully has been going to their homes

and then attacking the poor souls in front of their families. Some of them have not done anything in

months, why were they a threat?

As he speaks, photos of the victims appear and MJ weeps with each one.

"That's impossible!" MJ says to herself in shock. "Peter is not capable of such things. It's just

not in him." She notes reassuringly.

"You know in my opinion." Jameson continues. "I think the victims might have been working with

Spider-man. They wanted to go straight and get real jobs, but Spider-man just wouldn't let them.

As soon as the camera is off, Jameson gets up and heads back to his office, to speak with Robertson.

"So what did you think?" Asks Jameson as he lights a cigar at his desk. Was it too much or what? I

can never tell."

"There's not enough evidence to say Spider-man is the one responsible for this." Says Robertson.

"Accusing him like that, it's just not right."

"They found webbing at the last crime scene." Says Jameson. "That's enough for me, and the fine

people of the city."

"I don't know, I'm getting a bad feeling... like this time it might cost you." Says Robertson.

"Cost me!?" Exclaims Jameson. "What's going to cost me? I thought I hid the check book from my wife

better this time." He chuckles at his own joke.

"That's not what I mean Jonah." Says Robertson

"I know what you meant Robbie." Says Jameson. "Relax it's the news, I don't make these things up. I

say what I see. If some people don't agree with that, then they can find me right here in this office

to speak their mind."
With his back to the window, Jameson is unable to see a shadow rush by and up into the night sky.

Back at MJ's apartment, she walks out the front door and heads to the stairs, all the while using her

cell phone, leaving Peter yet another unanswered message.

"Peter why won't you answer me?" Says MJ as she walks down the stairs. "I'm coming over, and you

better have an answer for ignoring my messages."

Not paying attention to where she is walking, MJ trips over a black pit-bull and falls forward nearly

over going the rail. She pushes herself off the rail but continues to fall straight onto the stairs.

She is then caught by a man who was walking up the stairs, before she can hit the steps.

"Where did that come from?" Says MJ as she looks up at him.

Her heart is pumping hard and with all the adrenaline coursing through her, it is difficult for her to

really focus on her savior. Despite that she can see he's much bigger than her. He is wearing a

black muscle shirt with blue Jeans and black boots. Holding onto his arm she can also tell that he

must work out, her hand can barely hold on to his giant muscled fore arm.

"Oh I'm sorry for this." Says MJ apologetically.

"Sorry for what?" asks the stranger. "Sorry you fell into me, or sorry you tripped over my dog?"

"Both?" Says MJ cautiously. "I'm sorry but i have to go." she adds hurriedly.

"Hey wait." Says the stranger. "How often do you fall down and someone is there to actually catch

you? Where I'm from, a lady says thanks." His smile lets her know he means no harm.

"Oh dammit. I'm sorry." Says MJ. "I guess I lost my manners there. I'm Mary Jane."
