Amanda's Reading Room: October updates

Hello. I've posted four new vignettes in the last few days:

"Caught Take1 - Blonde" -- Vignette: twenty-ish, M2F, cross-dressing, caught!

"Caught Take2 - Brunette" -- Vignette: twenty-ish, M2F, cross-dressing, caught!

"Caught Take3 - Redhead" -- Vignette: twenty-ish, M2F, bodysuit, cross-dressing, caught!

"Maid for Halloween" -- Vignette: twenty-ish, M2F, cross-dressing, tricked, sex

They all involve cross-dressing (one in a bodysuit), with twenty-something protagonists. The first three are a matched set, and all four are examples of a new (to me) technique of embedding more than one caption (an image with text) in a PDF file and linking them with text in a short story. The set of three is also interesting because it places the same main character in three slightly different situations with quite different outcomes.

Great as usual, Amanda. Are the images versions of you? They are really effective.

I have to agree.
Another set of great tales.

TG_tales:
the images...

Actually [place tongue firmly in cheek], the images are real photographs, taken with a camera of my own invention that is capable of seeing into other dimensions -- alternate realities, where alternate versions of all of us are running around living the lives we wish we could have had.

Yeah, I know what you're thinking. I create a wicked-awesome device like that and use it exclusively to see what I might've looked like had I been born female. What a waste!

Well, color me obsessed... But ask yourself: would you do any different?

Well I guess I should have expected a creative answer... ; )

Nice work, as usual, sis, I liked the blonde/brunette/redhead trilogy, but was frustrated by "Maid for Halloween" as we never do learn Mom's motive for blackmailing her son into servanthood.

Thanks, Jezzi. Hmmm, a motive. That story was a shortie so I never even thought about it.

I wonder if there really is a good answer. Sure, there's the standard "she always wanted a daughter" (which I've used), but it's so common as to be trite (and a cliche). Besides, it's incredibly selfish on the mother's part.

Mothers in TG stories are usually rendered as stock characters with almost cartoonish motives (good or bad). I suspect that there aren't many examples out there of mother-characters with well-rounded personalities and believable motives -- in other words, portrayed as real people. Of course, I haven't read all the stories out there (far from it), so I could be wrong. Anyone know of any good examples? And what are their (believable) motivations?

I really enjoyed reading Amanda's October updates, especially the thoughtful reflections and cozy seasonal recommendations. The mix of book insights and personal notes made the whole post feel warm, engaging, and authentic. By the way, I recently discovered pdfguru and found it super useful when I needed to download estimate templates quickly and efficiently. It's always great to come across resources that genuinely simplify everyday tasks while staying easy to use. Looking forward to your November picks and more updates.
