I just came across some of the illustrations from 19th century editions of Jane Austen's novels: TG PARODY TIME!
Jane's titles in the TGfiction Zone are: Sissies and Sociability, Emmet to Emma, Newgender Abbey, Pretty Persuasions, and Pride and Prettifying.

The originals can be found at:

Here are "Emmet to Emma" and "Pride and Prettifying". They are numbered in the order they would come in the books.

Here are the illustrations from " Sissies and Sociability", "Pretty Persuasions", and "Newgender Abbey". These are in no particular order.
BTW, I would have liked to give the artist credit, but his or her name wasn't mentioned. Nor was there any info about the editions the illustrations were from; I guessed 19th century.

I love mash-ups and the idea of men being forced into the feminine roles in a place and an era where there were so many rules as to proper conduct is great!

Very good, Jezzi. That's thinking outside the bonnet.
