I think many of the old cartoons are great for recapping. I especially like them because I can get my artistic 'fix' by adding my own color -- almost always doing the featured female(s) only. I kind of call them my 'signature' 'toons.

Check these out and let me know what y'all think....

Good job on the coloring. I like them both.

Here's an alternate caption for Slap In The Face;

Private Twinkle-Toes: Hell of a way to spend my leave, going dancing with a different one of my squad mates every night. I'm sure never shooting craps behind the barracks again!

Thanx Jezzi, it's a lot of fun coloring up the b&W and monochromatics. ...And I can see your interpretation working just as well as mine!

Here's two more. The first seemed to work nicely combining two seperate 'toons into one panel and the second was a pencil sketch I found. This is one of my favorite colorizations -- I wanted to use it for my icon, but I couldn't compress it to femur's specs without losing the detail to pixilization!! (I try to be careful to preserve the original artist's hack wherever possible.)

I hope y'all enjoy them....

Hi All!

Here's another one I've been wanting to add, but had a little trouble with. Besides colorizing the main character, I had some issues with the original background - so I erased and reconstructed it myself.

I hope you like....

Jezzi,

Thanks for the positive comment! I guess you've noticed I'm a nut for red hair, too!!

(Hmmm.... I wonder if WHITE RABBIT Distilling could come up with a new formula -- 'DRINK ME red'? I, for one, could sure use it!)

Great work Katy, I do like the '2 Glamor Gurls Comparing Notes' as well. Red heads or not. :-)
The SpellBook is very good too. Being a nosy sod I'd like to see the original to see what work you did though but that's just me!
Keep up the good work,
Helen

Helen,

I found the original somewhere in the Forum...but, for the life of me I can't remember where. In the original, the left edge (about 5% or so of the pic) was distorted - kind of rolled, like it had been near the spine when it was scanned from a thick magazine. I reconstructed her foot, but the rest looked crappy enough that I erased it and working from a print-out of the original, reproduced the setting as best as my cheapo program would allow.

Speaking of backgrounds, I have two more. The first was two seperate illustrations with no backgrounds that I combined and put them in my own setting. The second was pretty much the same -- I did a monochromatic boudoir setting and changed her hair color. ...Redhead, of course!

I hope you like....

Just finished coloring another one I've been saving in my archives. This one is from Dean Yeagle, my most favorite cartoon artist. (He's had at least one in almost every Playboy for the past couple of years.) Of course, most of his work is in color, but on several websites, there are numerous sketches in B&W.

I couldn't put in just one.... So to accompany 'Thanks Sparky', I'm including one I did a while ago, 'Nightingale'. This one was already in glorious color - but I just HAD to make her a redhead!

Hope y'all like these,

Gotta let a couple more out of the bag before the seams burst....

The first is again one from my fave, Dean Yeagle. I redid the haircolor (natch!) and added some background for a proper setting. The second, I found nosing around the internet. It was a great b&w drawing, but it screamed for color, so I obliged!

Hope y'all enjoy them,

It's me again -- yes, I did put two new ones in only yesterday, but that bag is still straining at the seams!

First, I don't know how many of you have read any of the stories about those alien boxes that do funny things to people - the MAUs, but for those who haven't...well, here's a brief history:

The MAUs were accidentally spread around the Solar System by an alien cargo ship, particularly in the vicinity of Earth (natch!) and have been found all over the globe. Those who have figured out how to operate them have gotten their bodies reconfigured into whatever form they program into it. Only problem is that after a given time period, the "Demo" mode ends and the machine reverts to a useless little box...leaving them in what is usually an unwanted permenant state. ...Guys looking like their girlfriends, etc. (Use your imaginatiion - dummies can get into all kinds of trouble.)
My version finds that science has broken the code that restricts them to the Demo mode and has made them available to everyone....
...While I didn't 'add color', I did make some pertinent changes to the original panel.

The second, I'll have to admit, is a familiar concept:

Wow.... Has a whole week passed since I posted the last pair of 'toons?

Haven't seen any responses, so I don't know if you are enjoying them or not. If you like my panels, let me know. If you don't, well...let me know that, too!

But, in the meanwhile, here are two more....

BRO - We, he DID get the big round sunglasses ... and his wife was the one who requested that he get the boobs! Why? Well, it was a dark and stormy night ...

I like the breaking the MAU code concept, lots of possibilities

I've had the original of At The Lounge for quite awhile, but could never think up a use for it I hadn't already used with other originals. Kudos for your take on it, LOL, wish I'd thought of it.
