Don't have photoshop, so that kind of limits what I can do, did these using Paint.

1 OK so Mark Merlin is pretty much forgotten.... but
2 The original was kind of sexist
3 I was a big Superboy fan when I was a kid
4 the House of Secrets cover before I altered it
5 I assume you've heard of Fate Magazine.

I'll have to take a look at Weird Science. And isn't Mark Merlin wearing the cutest outfit to confront aggressive vegetables?

I've never heard of Fate Magazine, but I am intrigued by the "My cat is possessed by President Taft" story. How could they tell? Did it suddenly start launching anti-trust lawsuits, or just get very fat?

Loved the "Wierd Science" cover - twisted Revenge of the Nerds

Andi - they knew when, uncatlike, he attacked a rather large Bull Moose grazing nearby.

Just for the record Fate Magazine has been the premier magazine for articles about everything from apparitions to zoological anomalies for the last 60 years, and for the first 12 years featured some funky pulp style covers.

Very good!

I was thinking that they know its Taft 'cause the cat is just really fat.

Fate magazine was, at least, the premier US publisher of articles on the paranormal (I wonder if Canada, England, or Australia have had any similar publications, and/or if there are similar publications in German, French, etc.).

The Wikipedia has a fairly basic article on Fate magazine, but the best part of the article is probably the link to a website with all the Fate magazine covers.

As an aside about Fate that is comics related, one of the founding edits of Fate Magazine was Raymond Arthur Palmer, a longtime science fiction pulp editor, who Gardner Fox named the secret identity of the silver age Atom after.

A very good Mark Merlin make-over, and the costume is very cute.
Superboy seems to have had a few adventures gender bending, I too was a fan.
Well done,
Helen
