I was looking at the original version of this cover when it suddenly struck me that it would work perfectly for my 'Switch World' stories. The teaser for the first of these reads:

"For Brian Blaine the opportunity to visit a parallel world, a version of
the Earth where history had taken a different turn than it had on his own,
was too good to miss. Unfortunately for him, he had not appreciated just
*how* different that turn could be...."

And the story itself can be found at:

I can't believe nobody's comments on this yet. It's a great cover for Switch World. Her body language is perfect!

Thanks - although in the context of the story it's 'he', of course . I tend to pull down lots of cover scans and save them to a folder, one which I look through periodically to see if any of the covers inspire any ideas. The original of this one had been in that file for at least six months before I made the connection with my story, having looked at it dozens of times in the interim. As you say, it's perfect. Heck, even the hair colour is correct for the character in the story.
