821a - Highway to Hell

Original: Archie comics, #24

For 821a and 821b I used the same original, and the basic story would be the same in both issues; however, the focus is different. This one, 821a, focuses on Rick/Rita's journey from when "she" was dropped off to the cover scene. There is no magic, hypnosis, or other brainwashing involved.

821b - Questionable

Original: Archie comics, #24

For 821a and 821b I used the same original, and the basic story would be the same in both issues; however, the focus is different. This one, 821b, features a flashback that reveals Karen's motivation and then focuses on what all three players will do now that Rita is back. Hypnotic brainwashing is involved.

822 - The girl's line

Original: Candy comics, #54

"Married" is just not what you would expect a guys instinctive response to be - Ted most likely would ("will", since this is TG fiction land) make a good gurl.

823 - Shackled by a memory

Original: Buzzy comics, #28

While I'm more a headbanger than a CW fan, I've always liked Hank Williams, Sr. and Jr.

824 - Seasons

Original: A Date With Judy comics, #14, 16, 31, 45

As I was going through the "A Date With Judy" covers I noticed this recurring "benefits of being a pretty girl" theme, done by seasons, and suddenly it hit me, Princess Summerfallwinterspring! (If you remember the context of that name, you're as old as dirt - like me. And I also actually remember the "A Date With Judy" RADIO show!) I pulled out four of the covers, one for each season, and put them together. If you were treated like a princess, like Judy, wouldn't staying a girl be a no brainer?

825 - Playboy to playgurl

Original: Eerie comics, #46

Obviously the master had a good mother who taught him to share. I know this one's seasonal, but I couldn't just let it sit around till October.

826 - Using protection

Original: Heart Throbs comics, #131

This one was in inspired by The Professor's story "Deity Arms II: I Call My Sugar Candy" It's at Fictionmania. I recommend everything by The Professor.

827 - Clothes make the gurl.

Original: Fashion illustration from The Englishwoman's Domestic Magazine, September 1, 1869

There is an actual program run by the YWCA called Dress for Success. They provide business appropriate clothes for women who are trying to better themselves and can't afford them. I donate my business clothes when I no longer have use for them. For anyone interested, here is their website URL: http://www.dressforsuccess.org/home.aspx

828 - Spinster husband

Original: My Secret Marriage comics, #24

This was an experiment to see if I could make the background gurl look old just be changing her hair color. I was going for that whiteish/blue hair look many elderly ladies have. Also, It was time for another Vickie Tern woman.

829 - Little Pink Pills

Original: Lorna's "Working It Off". Thanks, Lorna.

Just a twist on the "adults only" idea.

830 - A bun in the brand new oven!

Original: My Past: Thrilling Confessions comics, #9

The original cover is from the 1950's and the theme is pregnancy, so I just gave it a twist based on one of my earlier efforts. Here's the URL for VG #653:
