Thanks for the kind words. And for the benefit of those who won't know what 'trick' you mean with 'the switch' unless they've seen the original, I'll post it below. It's simple enough to flip things in Paint, but having the part I wanted to flip conveniently framed by a door made it trivially easy to accomplish here.
As for inanimate object transformations, I'm not that keen on them either, but that's what this cover suggested from the moment I saw it. I tried a few other situations, but that was the one that best fit it.
