Long Time Viewer. First Time Poster.

I figured I enjoyed so many of the contributions, I should give back to the community. :)

I do love the romance style comics, but I don't have access to many for source material.

So I thought I'd take the opportunity to introduce myself by way of some science fiction.

Hope you enjoy.

Whoops. Guess I hit post twice.

Also I'll make a note to compress the image size. Wow that shows up big.

Not bad, Luv. You show real promise!

Btw, for decent size images of romance comics, check out comics.org or milehighcomics.com. Both have extensive scans as part of their listings (I generally used the latter when I was creating my Evil Archie covers).

You can also occasionally find decent size images on eBay. The better sellers often have large images to assure bidders of the quality of their merchandise.

Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

That is nice! Looks like the cover for a book I'd want to read, and looks seamless too.

Also, if you're interested in recaptioning some full stories, shout out here, and we can try to help hook you up with some good material.

Thanks.

I'm hoping to actually be drawing my own comics in the near future, but in the meantime good material to recaption for an entire story would certainly be a tantalizing opportunity.

Do you know what kind of story you want to tell? I can look for something suitable based on that.

Nice. A good bit of skill went into that.

Sue,

Right now I'd like to recap something with an actual romance in it. While I love sci-fi, superhero, fantasy and magic comics, finding one with a romance in the frames is not common.

So really any genre will do just as long as I've got good art and some romance.

If specifics are what you need though maybe something in a high school.

Thanks!

Is a "pure" romance comic what you're looking for, then, or ideally (some other genre) plus romance?

Romance itself is easy enough, I should be able to find some good-looking material. The problem I always have with romance comics is how 99% of them are the exact same story (Girl meets boy, girl loves boy, girl loses boy to some contrivance, girl gets boy again, The End.)

Other Genre plus romance I guess is ideal to avoid the same story issue

Pure romance is quite acceptable though too. just makes for more challenging recap for anoriginal story.

I think I've got something for you, MirrorDream - it's a Romance/Spy story, in fact! Figured the oddity of that would make it a natural for my stuff, but I haven't figured out a good way to put it into a Jet Dream context yet.

I'll PM you after I've got it all scanned and ready.
