Some more Confessions. They all seem to have come out a bit angsty and melodramatic. Somehow the covers seemed to call for that treatment. Or maybe it's just me.

Edited to fix a silly spelling mistake.
Flirting With Disaster.

One Heart Too Many.

The Other Woman.

Terrific job, Andi! A great quartet! My favorites are "Flirting with Disaster" and "The Other Woman."

All four of these are great! I especially liked "Flirting With Disaster", but I also enjoyed "One Heart Too Many".

As far as them being angsty and melodramatic, that's just a bit part of the romance comics genre, but I also think that you picked some of the more melodramatic covers to rework. ;-)

Where did you get your images? The look like the images in the Grand Comics Database, except larger.

That is exactly where they came from, specifically from the "Confessions of the Lovelorn" section. I download the "large" comic scan images, but then scale them up to a standard size of 500 px wide. I find anything smaller too squitty to work with on my iMac.

The quality of the scans isn't very good, so I adjust the tonal range and "airbrush" out the grosser stains, pencil marks, tears etc. but I preserve a lot of the wear-marks, creases etc. to give a more authentic look. Some of the covers receive a little sharpening. Where I've had to "airbrush" relatively large areas, I add noise to restore the "grainy" look.
