Human beings come preprogramed to find anything different as a threat, so whenever we know something new is coming in our lives, whether we are dreading it or looking forward to it, we will probably feel apprehensive about it. In Gabby's case, the assumption is that he'll be dreading "Rhonda's" implied promise, but you never know ... :-)
