#631 - Original: Web of Mystery comics. Losing your intellect must be worse than losing your gender ... if you know it's gone.
#632 - Original: Secret Hearts comics. I know no real comic would do the speach bubbles the way I have, but I started this one months ago and have tried to come up with a less wordy way and with no numbered bubbles. I haven't been able to, and besides, I like it! So there! :-)
#633 - Original: New Man magazine. Ve haf vays auf making zu ein frau! Could Christine Jorgenson's surgeon have really been GERMAN ??? :-)
#634 - Original: Dean Cornwell's illustration for the story, "A Man for Cousin Emily" in American Magazine cira 1942. One of the standard "truths" of TG fiction is that a feminized boy would rather be percieved as a girl than a "boy in a dress", aka sissy. ... So I'm only telling the truth :-)
#635 - Original: Teen-Age Love comics. I'm not sure this even qualifies as TG fiction. Yes, there is a sex change, but it's not really the point of the story. Whaddayouallthink?

#636 - Original: Archie's Pals and Gals Double Digest comics. My cover guy is my drab self; he has had the same hairstyle for about 50 years (He does console himself with the fact that at least he still has a full head of hair ... unlike his sons!) Not me, though; I do so love wigs, and I do ask myself as I look at all of them lined up on the shelf, "Which gurl will I be tonight?"!
#637 - Original: Ranch Romances magazine. On the U.s. western frontier in the late 19th century, the ratio of men to women often was twelve or more to one. At dances, men would be picked by lot to dance the girls part and would usually wear handkerchiefs tied around their arms to show that. I just substituted a hat for the handkerchief ... and added a little magic. :-)
#638 - Original: Night Nurse comics. I might write this one - or if any of you would like to, let me know. I think it begs to be written. "Moment of Truth!" Is also the title of the original; i didn't have to touch it.
#639 - Original: Secret Hearts comics. Everything has a price. Issue #640 continues the story.
#640 - Original: Secret Hearts comics. This one is a sequel to issue #639, but I actually did it first. When I looked at my finished product, I knew it needed a backstory. I chose another Secret Hearts cover for it so that the artwork would be similar with the women looking somewhat the same.

Nice ones,
Some of these look very similar to earlier works.

Trista, I think they are earlier works!

I think the idea here is that Jezzi is catching us up on the origins of these covers. Giving us the source material, the background, her thinking, etc. I, for one, truly appreciate Jezzi sharing this info with us. Endlessly fascinating, IMHO!

Thanks, Jezzi. Still can't believe you're well past 700 covers. Mind-boggling!
