Hello. Fans of my Yahoo work (where I post my Evil Archie covers under a similar name) may recognize two of my older works. I recently got around to making further modifications and figured they were a good excuse to try posting here.

Millie the Model #158 was inspired by my favorite episode of Gilligan's Island (naturally!) and Modeling with Millie #25 was an attempt do yet another "Evil Twin" twist that still captured the humour of the times.

Enjoy!

Another early effort I recently cleaned up a little.

And shamelessly inspired by Tebra's "Dr. Dilton" series. :)

Not an OLD cover but one I wanted to do for awhile.

If Millie had been part of the original Marvel U, what story possibilities there might have been!

Awesome stuff! I've always loved your Archie work. The Millie covers are great too! Thanks for sharing it with us here!

Thanks Femur! I'm a big fan of your own modified covers. They inspired me to try my own while Jen Derbender inspired most of my themes.

I've wanted to contribute for awhile but I was afraid my efforts wouldn't measure up (there are some REAL talents posting here). The Millies were a good excuse to try though. :)

I will definitely post more down the road as I have time. But THANKS SO MUCH for the nice feedback!

Here's my first Harvey cover anywhere. I remember several stories when I was young in which Mayda Munny disguised herself as Gloria (and one in which Richie disguised himself as her twin!) but never one in which Reggie did the same.

If you're innocent-minded you can imagine Reggie's amnesia causes him to repeatedly turn down Richie's expensive gifts until another blow on the head restores his memory -- too late to get the gifts.

On the other hand, if you're kinky-minded, you can just as easily imagine Reggie-as-Gloria falling for Richie for real. After all, they say there's a fine line between love and hate.

Where's the real Gloria while either scenario is going on? Who knows! But I wouldn't mind finding some more covers to have the two Glorias confronting each other.

Another old EA cover. One of the first times I imagined someone as nasty as Reggie would probably be a master of disguise. :)

I love the Millie covers, especially giving her adventures in the Mighty Marvel Manner!

I've been working with the late '60s Millie comics a lot for It's Cookie!, and they make great source material. Chili in particular (the main basis for "Dana, Cookie's Elle-Boy Rival" makes such a great "adversary" character!

Earlier I said I'm a big fan of Femur's modified covers. And to prove it, here is my first-ever modification of an actual DC Romance comic, exclusive to this site.

Thanks, Femur, for all the wonderful and imaginative covers you did over the years.

Especially the ALTERED FATES ones. :)

This is the best kind of thanks I could possibly get. I always wanted to use this cover. Sixties romance covers are my absolute favorites (other than Matt Baker!).

Great job!

Here's another old cover I recently cleaned up. It was actually the first of three consecutive covers with the "Peril of the Pink Krytonite" storyline. Quick synopsis: Superman is infected by pink K, transformed into a double of Lois Lane, and convinced the REAL Lois Lane is an evil/crazed impostor.

The other two parts dealt with ex-Superman-as-Lois reforming and marrying Lex Luthor and the real Lois a fugitive who must adopt a criminal identity ("Kryptonya") in order to bring her "good twin" down.

Nothing you really need to know enjoy this cover. Just an example of how my imagination works when I set out to design these things.

Generally I'm NOT a big fan of magical transformation to achieve ID theft. But one exception to my rule is Jennifer Adams' ALTERED FATES universe -- especially as conveyed by a genius like Femur.

I never seem to get enough Zulo-related comic book covers and I had that in mind when I created this EA Veronica cover. Of course, the "real" medallion wouldn't alter clothing, but this is an Archie cover after all. :)

More great stuff!

You should definitely post the other two Pink Kryptonite covers here. And the original comics too (if only it were possible)!!!

Saw the Veronica cover on yahoo and think it's great too. Love the morph from Juggie to Ronnie. Very nicely done!

Here's another of my recent EAs. Not one of my best but I like the offbeat humour. Plus it was an experiment with layered backgrounds to turn black girl Marcie into white Betty's evil Father.

And here is my newest Millie the Model cover and some more "What IF."

Long-time Mavelites may remember that Millie the Model switched gears between 153 and 154, shifting back to humour and a more cartoony look.

I used to wondered why Gary Friedrich and Bill Williams were abruptly kicked off the title and Stan the Man (who had little time for writing off-trail books) was suddenly scripting it again with Stan Goldberg.

Well, WHAT IF Groovy Gary had planned a new storyline in which Spidey's old foe came back for revenge (remember MTM #124?) by stealing Millie's life while she was still in Liverpool?

And Stan was so freaked by the idea that he yanked the contents at the 11th hour and had to take over the book himself again.

[And of course Jazzy Johnny Romita's scrapped cover was later reworked into OUR LOVE STORY #4 natch.]

Anyhoo, here is my version of that "lost" fable. And if anyone's interested, I also have the next 6 covers of the "storyline" to post sometime down the road.
