]Why do all these covers seem locked down in the 40s and 50s? Not one deals with the reality of being trans gender in the here and now. True some factors remain constant like telling loved ones the truth about one's self, but stories about the trans gender transition over time are often far more interesting then some magic spell or curse, or a sci-fi gadget that changes you instantly, and what then follows is all reaction to the change. Look, times have changed, and the character(s) can be openly transsexual and speak about the oddities of a trans gender lifestyle. I think transsexuals have a sense of humor too.

The covers are mostly old-fashioned because they are based on old covers that were created then - the golden age of comics. If you look at the stories that artists have created from scratch then they tend to be more modern.

Yeah. There's A LOT of stuff out there just like you describe. The covers are just good fun.

Beatlephil,

Not everyone who visits here is transgendered or cares to look at cross dressing or "realistically" themed transition comics.

The title of the site is TG comics, that's a big tent, it includes cross dressing, trans-sexual AND magic and science fiction based transformations.

If you don't like the subject of a comic, don't read it and don't complain just because it isn't your cup of tea.

Is is a big tent? I've always figured that the TG in tgcomics was Transformed-Gender, as opposed to TransGender.

It could be both, regardless transgendered people are going to want to read this stuff and write and draw it too, so it kind of ends up the same any way
