Tribute to Femur's Altered Fates

Hello everybody.

Last June I discovered tgcomics.com, and I quickly became a fan. I like especially body swaps. So I tried to realize some Altered Fates recaps myself, but it's very hard ! It's a modest tribute to Femur's work, and to all the bodyswaps I saw here.

On the other hand, I want to apologize for my novice English. Indeed I'm French and I have to improve my knowledge of your beautiful language. If there are some grammatical mistakes in my recaps, please tell me : I'll try to correct it.

I answer to your questions, Eric. (the discussion about the beauty of our respective first languages is very interessant, but I don't know if I can be pertinent about this in English... if you want, we can try at another time :D )

So, about PRACTICAL TEST, I don't think that the new Dan will marry the ex-Dan. I think he'll live his own life, with all what his new body allow him.

About MY SECOND WEDDING, I think that the ex'Lana will enjoy the life as her father and enjoy being the powerfull head of a multinational conglomerate. She knows what she wants (and what she doesn't want...) and being her own father is an opportunity to exploit her abilities. Her father, the new Lana is now married ; I don't think that his/her life will be very funny... (I know, my pessimism is proper to Frenchies :D )

You have put together some fine covers here, Ynattirb. I especially like No Glory For A Nurse and Money Can't Buy Happiness. They're well-selected covers with good dramatic body-language, and you have fitted good stories to them.

Eric, about "Money can't buy happiness" : I think that the new wife will have a difficult existence with a violent husband (the existence which was that of the ex Mrs Dunn). Someday, maybe, it'll be her turn to steal a body and avoid the terrible husband.

About A New star, I think that the new star will continue his wonderful carreer and that the new Wendy will accept he's now a she and become a great actress. Perhaprs they'll get married five or ten years later !

Vinnymonster, if you want to convert some of my recaps into stories, do it ! It would be an honnor ! :)

And thank you Eric for the questions. They make me think about my work. Your point of view is opposed ti mine. Considering that the cover (or the recap) is only one moment of the comic, what interests me the most is "Ouch !! What happened ?" and your questions are exactly the opposite : you ask me "What'll happen ?".

[as an American, you're turned to the future, as an European, I'm thinking about the past LOL]

So, about Mistress prevents weddind, I really think that the new dumped woman'll have a difficult life during one year or two. Then, she'll resign herself to what is now hew life and accept ta marry another man. But I don't know if it'll be a very happy wedding...

About Narcissism, yes I think that the new woman will marry her former self. I imagine that the ex-Jenny will be a very jealous husband and that he'll be obsessed by the beauty of his older body. The new woman'll have the life of a doll or somthing like that.

About Who's Eve, I think she'll be a submissive wife indeed : the new husand will act like if he had always be the man. They'll never talk about the past and the new Eve will not have the choice : she have to to be a good wife.

About "I was my own bride", I think that now he has the medaillon, the ex-man will use it. Maybe the couple will hang out at swapping bodies again and again : one week has tha man, one week as the woman et cetera.

Sorry, I forget your question about bodyswap stories in French.

It doesn't exist very much in French (it's one of the reason I do my recaps in English and post it on a non-French forum). The tg culture doesn't exist very much in France : we're only 60 millions people and Internet is a bit more recent in Europa than in America. But most of Frenchies speak a bit of English so that isn't a big problem to read the English websites !

I hope I have a little set you straight in this regard !
