#306 - The expression on the girls face is, in my opinion, not the expression of a girl in love receiving a frat pin from her sweetie, but rather a somewhat evil and selfish, "I have my own agenda and you've just become a part of it." one. Also, there is a story out there with this theme, but I can't remember the author or title.
#307 - The black & white heads gave me the idea for this one, and, also, I wanted to do a willing change cover ... for a change :-) ... and it did look to me like she was comforting him. BTW, I wish I could look like this girl I love her hair color and style, her makeup, and her outfit.
#308 & 309 - I don't usually do covers that relate to RL, but I couldn't resist in these cases. After I finished 309, I realized I should have started out by flipping it; it would have been a lot of work to go back and redo it, so I puppied out and just added the blue arrow.
#310 - This was an illustration from "Long Live the King", a novel in the Graustark tradition by Mary Roberts Rinehart, ©1917. As soon as I saw it, it hit me that it would be perfect for the historical series.

Another nice set, Jezzi. "Jumping The Shark" is clever and well-executed, but "Fade Away" is brilliant!

As I've said previously elsewhere, I sometimes have difficulty with the American cultural background of most of these covers. I was looking at the original of "Stuck" myself only this weekend, and I too was intrigued by the girl's expression, but I couldn't work out why the guy was pinning what looks like a key on the girl's top...

Of course "Which Direction" is a bit culturally-specific too, but the Cubs vs. Sox thing is fairly well-known I think, and most countries have similar sporting rivalries. It made me chuckle anyway...

Re: "Which direction?"

Love the blue arrow. :-)

And thanks for your honesty, Jezzi. We all appreciate your hard work.

Another great set. "Fade Away" is beautifully romantic, and "Which Direction?" with that gorgeous "Oops!" was superb for both content and humor.

However, may I ask a favor? When you do something as sublimely hilarious and over the top as "Jumping the Shark," please put a spewage warning in the commentary? I came within a millisecond of soaking my keyboard.

Thank you.

Thanks for the comments. I get discouraged some times. Oh, well, doing these covers is very theraputic for me. ... and FUN !!

I just finished watching Random Harvest with Ronald Coleman and Greer Garson - they could play Gary and Darla in #307, Fade away.
