The popular 1921 film “The Queen of Sheba” and the1921 film The Shiek staring Rudolph Valentino led to ‘20’s young men and women calling themselves sheiks and shebas... Urban “fast” young women in short dresses were also called flappers. Flivvers were cars, mostly ModelT Fords.
