Penmanship Punishment

Original:  El Pinguino comics, #361

I wrote by hand a thank you note to a young friend who, after receiving it, told me she couldn't read it. I had written it in cursive.  Her comment inspired this cover. Public schools in the United States are rapidly dropping the teaching of penmanship, writing in cursive or long hand, since, apparently, all but old fogies (such as myself) either type or text using print letter keyboards. If you want cursive you don't have to write it, you just pick a cursive font. (My young friend couldn't read an analog clock either.)
