Both EXCELLENT! I am in awe.

R to C reminds me of a Hope/Crosby/Lamour ROAD picture

The Archie panal reminded me of how when webcomic artists/writers need a break they sometimes have guest artists come in to do one off panels for their strips.

I love these, but...

The "jagged" look of the lettering still bugs me. I remember we talked about it for a while in a thread, but have you ever figured out what's causing that?

Luv those classic comic formats, and even better when put in 'our' context.
Great work.

Hi Lorna, thanks for that.
Suedenim: I know what you are talking about but I'm stymied as to what to do about it. I upgraded and reformatted my hard drive and lost a couple of my fonts. Apart from what is supplied by MSN Word etc, I have Ashcan which was recommended here I think, I can't recall who. I also had one with impact, looked a bit like the font used in Superman comic headings. If you can look back at my earlier efforts, F-G.I. Men for example you might recognise it.As for the jaggedness it seems to reduce when I post in a larger size. But that could overload the site eventually.
I'd appreciate any constructive suggestions or ideas on this,
cheers,
Helen

Helen,
I use a program called Comic life for my speech ballons and the text in them. There are versions for both Mac and Pc (I use Mac). It's reasonably priced and i've found it worth it many times over. Here's the link:
