It's not too subtle--just as long as it's from Girls' Romances - a TGC publication.

[Of course I see TG situations in almost every cover that mentions secrets, so I may not be the most reliable judge. ;-)]

BobH used this one for one of his recaps, but I personally think that it stands on its own and needs no recap. Young Love (Prize, 1949) #70:

More secrets, this time from Honeymoon Romance (Artful Publications, 1950) #01.

What is the truth about the "Scarlet Lady"?

Two good ones. Looking at "An Intimate Publication", one is left wondering: "Why on earth did someone decide to put 'Sex crimes on the increase' on the front of a comic called "Honeymoon Romance?" I suppose it's a case of "The past is another country; they do things differently there".

joangel: This was the cover that started the 'no recap required' threads. It's worth looking back through these in particular to avoid duplication.

Joangel:

Welcome to the forum.

Don't worry. It can take quite awhile to go back through all the posts in the forum, even though it's only been around since 2 February 2007. The "Things That Should Have Been TG" topic, for example, is already four pages!

Here's the link to the original "No recap required" post.

The other two "no recap" posts are:

No recap required #2

No recap required: Young Romance #187

This idea of finding "no recap" comic book covers has sort of taken on a life of its own. So much so, that I think that it almost needs its own forum topic. ;-)

Here's My Love Secret (Fox, 1949) #28.

If it had been a thought balloon, I'd definitely say no recap was necessary. Since it's a speech balloon, she's probably talking to the 'other man' and referring to her husband or betrothed. I'll probably redo this with a thought balloon, as soon as I can think of something to replace "I Gave Him Love".

Another way of converting it would be to convert the speech balloon to a whisper balloon, that way she's talking to herself under her breath.

I keep running across covers that are borderline, that I then file away until I have the time for further modification to make the TG connection a little more explicit. This one I thought was close enough that I'd post it. It's Love Experiences (Ace Magazines, 1949) #1:
