Totally Silly Batman Covers.

We all know Batman, yes? The Dark Knight? The ultimate badass? Right?

So what were they doing with covers like this? I nearly gave Robin a different line involving drag-queens and back doors, but in the end decided it was a bit too risqué for a lady like me...

I have a book that collects various Batman strips between the 30's and the 70's - it has that cover in it - i can tell you that Batman was rubbish back then - the bad sixties TV series was actually an accurate reflection of how bad the strip was then too.

In sweden he was called "Läderlappen" back then...

(Thats somewhat like "The leatherpatch", and was an really old name for bats in sweden nobody was using even then)
