Arms and the Gurl

Originals: The Saturday Evening post, August 17, 1918 (woman) May 10, 1919 (man)

The same artist did both covers; both the man and woman were in United States military uniforms of the time, and they looked enough alike that my cover was possible.

If Theodore Roosevelt had won the presidential election of 1912, it is VERY possible that the United States would have entered World War I much sooner than it actually did - probably shortly after the sinking of the Lusitania, which occured in 1915. Always fun to play the "What if ...?" game.
