Thanks Helen and Maria. Prom changes made me sigh over lost youth and slenderness. I would love to look just like her and wear that dress! Ah, well ...

Here's 1561 - 1565. ENJOY!
1561 - She's just not himself
Originals: Main pic, The saturday Evening Post, December 1, 1962. In thought bubble, I Loved comics, #29
I've had the "I Loved" cover around for a while and had started modifying it several times but could never come up with just the right finish. When I saw the SEP cover, I knew the two on the IL cover would be perfect to replace the bridge game of the original in the thought bubble.
1562 - Sheling Waters OR Skirting on Thin Ice
Original: Pictorial Romances comics, #5
Winter time at a Jusenkyo cursed springs franchise :-)
1563 - Basketball Bridal Party
Original: Another photo from one of Maritess Concepcion's "Hair and Accessories" websites. A curtsey to you, Maritess.
I don't blame Michael. The bridal party clearly has much better (translate prettier) uniforms than the basketball team.
1564 - Soul Stoned
Original: Girls' Romances comics, #7
The stoner was a frustrated sculptor till he was hit on the head by a small rock from space and received the power to trap peoples souls inside his carved creations. A person so trapped, would become a flesh and blood copy of the statue, and would generally become the Stoner's slave - for only the Stoner could return the soul thus returning his or her original body as well. Smashing the statue meant the part of the soul that molded the body was lost forever.
1565 - Misogynist Hell
Original: Girls' Romances comics, #23
We may wish we were him, but we wouldn't if we were. She's just not Himself!

Privacy Issues was my favourite of the new lot.
Denise doesn't know what would be worse. Being recognised as Dennis, or being too convincing as Denise and being asked out on a second lunch date.

Hi Jezzi,
Honor thy Mother is a great cover. Bob must like his new look. And it reminds me of a tale I read in an old TMC publication. But I can't remember the title.
I love Procastination Problem'.

SIX this time, as 1575 and 1576 go together.1571 - One of Us NowOriginal: McCall's dress making patterns ad, "The New Liking For Classic Lines" from McCall's Magazine, September, 1930 Miss Marshall's plan: Now that HE was broken, it was time to build HER up. 1572 - Hurting TimeOriginal: I Loved comics, #31 Heck, if Dad had known his son wanted to go to the ballet, he would have taken him; he already had the perfect dress for it. 1573 - Trick and TreatOriginal: Sabrina The Teenaged Witch comics, #44 Sometimes a punishment can be a reward. 1574 - A Healthy Choice Original: Confessions of the Lovelorn Comics, #96 Teaching, particularly teaching 12-14 year olds can be VERY stressful on a day to day basis. I did it for over thirty years and had two surefire methods of dealing with that stress. One was getting in my car after school, turning the stereo up to 11, plugging in some AC/DC or Iron Maiden, and banging the steering wheel all the way home. The other was becoming Jezzi. 1575 - Bridal Groominghttp://tasteful-tg-caps.tumblr.com/Original: I took this photo from Miles' Tasteful TG Caps. eliminating his text. My take on the pic is different enough from his so that I hope I'm not stepping on his toes, so to speak. If I am, Miles, let me know and I'll delete this one. (Miles site and work are great! Use the link to see his work. The pic I used is currently on p.4) Issue #1576 contains the sequel to this cover's story. 1576 - The Happy WifeOriginal: Another Photo from one of Maritess Concepcion's "Hair and Accessories" sites. Here's 1577-1580. I will now copy 1561-1580 to the main site. 1577 - Before and AfterOriginal: Wilbur comics, #15 When I first came up with Q T Pi, it was a sorority that took in and transformed occasional fraternity pledges. Here you see it evolved into a "frarority". Because I like the namer, in future issues it may appear as either one. 1578 - The 51st way to Leave Your Lover http://tgcaps.com/caps/modcovers/jezzi/Vaingirls/V aingirls%201001-1100/Vaingirls+1017.jpg.phpOriginal: Hedy DeVine comics, #27 Is there a better way for a lady to keep her EXes from becoming her enemies than by transforming them into her devoted girlfriends? (see also issue #1017 - click on link) 1579 - Kept in the Dark OR Mother's Secret AgendaOriginal: 1880s fashion plate from Google's Victorian women's fashions images site. Mother apologized. She was so sorry, the change in party plans just slipped her mind. Yeah, sure. ... Friends were not really surprised, though, when the new Lady Skaton quickly forgave her. 1580 - Curtain going up!Original: The cover of the Sunday Pictorial Review of the San Francisco Examiner newspaper, October 12, 1952 Mona never tried to come back to work, and "the show" went on for nine years till Rikki (Richard) turned 32 and was forced to retire. He gave up acting and opened a school for boys who wanted to be stewardesses. Today Up In The Air, Inc. helps young men who want to work as women in a wide variety of careers. Vaingirls, Inc. is proud to be in partnership with Up In The Air, Inc., and our CEO, Joyce Hall, and Rikki can often be found lunching together at any one of the fine restaurants in Chicago. I especially like "Screening Process" and "Curtain Going Up" because of the "different" cover style.
I'm way behind, but I post my covers in the forum first, because people can't comment on the "main display" and the need to make a second stop discourages comments somewhat, I think.

AndiJF HI SIS.thanks for the comment. RE: "Curtain going up", I don't know if you get the TV show "Pan AM" down there. It's been canceled here, but I was a big fan. The show inspired this comic and #1545 which was also inspired by a film which is one of my all time favorites. I'm sure you'll understand why.
Regarding posting, starting with 1501, I'm doing the same, for the same reasons. I post five at a time, and once I've done twenty, I also post them at the main site.

Here's 1581-1585!
1581 - Daughter Denied
Original: Just Married comics, #16
A serious and fairly realistic one for a change - For some of us this one may hit too close to home.
1582 - Forever Female
Original: A Date With Judy comics, #32
Feminine power need not necessarily depend on outward appearance.
1583 - Self Control
Original: Another pic from one of Maritess Cocepcion's "Hair and Accessories" websites. Thanks Maritess
Well, she isn't killing him ... or maybe, in a sense, she is.
1584 - Total Tailoring
Original: Saucy Stories magazine, April, 1936
A Twilight Zone tribute.
1585 - Not Quite Female
Original: FemForce comics, #18
1985 was the year FemForce comics debuted, with the characters already adults. Who can say they weren't former men who went through sex changes and contracted amnesia? You can? Oh, pooh, you're no fun! :-) Daughter Denied

Great work, as always, Jezzi. Like many others, I don't say so often enough.
But really... "Pegeen"? Is that even a real name? It was odd enough to take me right out of Elton's story.

Actually, I knew a Pegeen in high school. If I remember correctly (50 years ago!) her actual name was Margaret but the story went that her family didn't want the usual "Peggy" as a nickname, hence Pegeen.

1596 - SIXTEEN HUNDRED!! I will now post 1581-1600 to the main site.1596 - Dolling Up The DaddiesOriginal: The Saturday Evening Post, May 6, 1964 My take is that the three pictured are single dads trying to be both mom and dad to their daughters. ... Or at least that's their excuse. Little Suzi's dad wasn't going to let her stay home and spoil his excuse for getting prettified himself! 1597 - Sexier Than SisterOriginal: Falling In Love comics, #7 My take is that while "Susan" will not marry Franklin, she won't be able to resist trying on the wedding gown ... and will revert to a very embarrassed Stuart when his girlfriend catches "her" doing so. His/her sister will dump Franklin and find a nice girl to marry. 1598 - Skipping A Generation http://tasteful-tg-caps.tumblr.com/Originals: I took the small photo from Miles' Tasteful TG Caps, eliminating his text. Follow the link for his take on the pic. The large pic is from one of Maritess Concepcion's "Hair and Accessories" websites. Thanks Maritess and Miles. I would love to wear the outfits of the two gurls on your left. I wish I'd seen these two pics when I was still doing my show. 1599 - Summer Camp SecretsOriginal: Sweethearts comics, #108 Obviously inspired by the Las Vegas ads. It has been hard to pick a favourite from the last few batches of covers. But here are a few I really liked.
1573 : Trick or Treat 1577 : Before and After 1587 : School Gurls 1588 : Well Suited. Nanotech seems to be everywhere at the moment. Either that or I'm reading a lot of science fiction. 1599 : Summer Camp Secrets 1600 : Beauty And The Wallflower
Keep up the great work Jezzi. What ever stories and themes will you come up with next?

Thanks, Maria. Of the ones you picked, 1577 is my favorite. Q T Pi sorority will be in many more issues! Here's 1601-16051601 - Thanks, MomOriginal: Another photo from one of Maritess Concepcion's "Hair and Accessories" websites. Thanks, Maritess. As Charley watched Mom mope around the house, just as she'd moped around the house since ... well, he just wanted to smack his older sister Ruthie silly! They were so much in love, Ruthie'd written in the note she'd left, that they just couldn't wait. So before Mom had even started to think about wedding plans, they were gone, eloped! Mom had been devastated! She'd been so happy when Ruthie and Sam had announced their engagement; now she would get to be able to do with her daughter all the things she'd dreamed about since Ruthie was six and had dressed her Barbie in a wedding gown that they'd gone to the Barbie store and picked out together. All her plans had come crashing down, and, while she was happy for her obviously happy daughter, she couldn't get over her depression at not being a part of things. That had been in September and it was now a brand new year. Charley loved his mother very much. but he couldn't think of anything he could do to help her ... till he say the Vaingirls ad on TV. Charley didn't have a transgendered bone in his body, and he had thought "RuPaul's Drag Race" was about cars! He'd never walked in his mother's high heels as a toddler, never tried on Ruthie's clothes or played with her makeup when a tween, never even been a caricature of a girl for Halloween, but when he saw the commercial, he knew what he could do. And he did. And Mom liked it. And so did she. 1602 - Presidential SuccessionOriginal: Crime SuspenStories comics, #1 I think this may be my first cover dealing with reversing magic. 1603 - Vague Awarenesshttp://tgcaps.com/caps/modcovers/jezzi/Vaingirls/V aingirls201-300/CindyCircus.jpg.phphttp://www.eeriecuties.com/strips-ec/%28chapter_1% 29_it_is_gonna_eat_me%21Original: Lovers comics, #65 The Cinderella Circus made an earlier appearance; follow the link way back to issue 218. "Doll's Story" was inspired by the character of Blair in the web comic "Eerie Cuties. It's well worth reading. Follow the link to it's beginnings; you can click on "cast" to find out about Blair. If you start reading from the beginning, you'll eventually come to where a spin-off strip, "Magic Chicks" is launched; it is also well worth reading. 1604 - Transformation on the Cheaphttp://tgcaps.com/caps/modpanels/lorna/LornaToons6 /LToon+505+Tomgirl.jpg.phpOriginal: Another from Lorna, LT505. Thanks, sis. Follow the link. Almost all my clothes come from Kohl's because my spouse works there and gets an employee discount, 1605 - Dragged to the Dancehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkVmqhGYij0&feature =relatedOriginal: Patsy And Hedy comics, #57 Whatever Milt did to the cheerleaders must have been pretty bad I love the song "Queen of the Hop". The link is to a video of it, Bobby Darin singing. I think the brunette actually dancing, her skirt flaring, petticoat showing, is probably Millie at the hop, after Milt decided to just step back and let her take over. I envision that pic labeled "Milt 'Millie' Martin, 'Queen' of the Senior Hop" replacing Milt's football hero pic in the senior yearbook. Thanks, Mom

Here's 1606 - 1610!
1606 - Femininity Test
Original: Lux Soap Flakes ad, Ladies Home Journal magazine, September, 1920
Melissa and her mother hadn't wanted to so thoroughly dislike Robert, but he had, ever since puberty hit, given them good reason to do so. In desperation Melissa forced him into a reformative training program that had just been completed. The trip to London was to be Roberta's "baptism of fire. When she heard from her mother, Melissa would know if she had an accomplished young lady as a daughter or ...

1608 - Definitely Heterosexual
Original: Young Romance comics, 1947 series, #122, February/March, 1963
Mark had become Marcie and was everything Susan had wanted ... with one small - but not minor - error!
1609 - Cross Dressed Romance
Original: Young Romance comics, 1947 series, #121, December, 1962/January, 1963
Most people don't realize that about 10% of vaingirls clients are female to male! To be honest, being four women, three of us TS, who love to turn men into happy feminine women, we only undertook FtoMs at the urging of our lawyer, my brother/sister G.A./GeorgieAnne. However we quickly came to realize that putting ANYONE, male or female, into a body and look to match their real gender was rewarding. Here's to our TS men: "Party on, DUDES!"
1610 - Daddy's in the Doghouse!
Original: My Little Margie comics, #32
Being embarrassed as a teen or adult by someone showing photos of you as a youngster to someone you care about is quite common, and in most cases, as in this issue, is not done with malicious intent. My ten years older sister and her friends dressed me as a girl when I was about four years old and my mother took pictures. When I was a teen, I was several times put in the position of watching my mom show my current girlfriend those pictures with a clueless to my feelings (This was long before I was out of the closet) "Wasn't he er, (giggle)'she' cute?" comment. I got some gentle teasing from those girls, but nothing mean. None of them ever asked to dress me up - darn! Sometime between when I left home and when she died, those pictures disappeared. Today, of course, I wish I had them. Femininity Test

Here's 1611 - 1615 (I have through 1620 done, so I'll post 1616 - 1620 in a few days.
1611 - Time For A Change
Original: Secrets of Young Brides comics, #38
Aliens did it! See issue #1620 (coming soon)
1612 - Pretty Pushover
Original: A magazine story illustration titled "Poolside" done by Alex Ross, my guess would be in the early 1960s
This one was inspired by the song, "I Can't Say No" from the show "Oklahoma". I'm jist a girl who cain't say no, I'm in a turrible fix I always say "come on, le's go" Jist when I orta say nix! Is Todd really "in a terrible fix"? Here are his(?) own words:
Those secretaries are soo nice! Why they fuss over me and make me feel part of their group. Seems like I never eat lunch with the guys anymore. I know that Clariece and her husband are expecting for the first time (Janet's offered to help me find just the right gift!), and what a bargain Susan thinks she got on her new shoes - less than a hundred dollars for a pair of Manolo Blahniks (I told Claire I thought they were ripoff's , but I would never say that to Susan; let her have her moment.) There's not a mean bone in any of their bodies, in fact they've really helped me modernize my image clothes-wise. The cute tops they urged me to buy are soft and comfy and they said the pastel colors will soothe customers. I was thrown off a bit by the slacks with the zipper on the side though.
The girls do like to have fun though, and I'm a good sport and go along with it. Just because I end up looking like a girl more and more often *giggle* doesn't make me less of a man, does it. ... Oh, I have to go. delores just told me that Stella can't make her fitting for her bridesmaid gown. She said that since Stella and I are as alike as twins, the girls want me to come down to the salon with them; they probably want my advice. ... I'm coming girls, just give me a moment to tidy my hair!
1613 - Sororitized
Original: Love Stories magazine, October 3, 1925
Those Q T Pi girls - and gurls - are at it again. Actually they suggested the set up, not the frat, because they thought Joe and Mike were just too pretty to stay boys.
This was inspired by all the "I was dressed for a one-time thing but couldn't get back to my boy clothes so had to stay a gurl for much longer than planned" stories.
1614 - Property Rights
Original: Love Letters comics, #2
The woman in black just looked like a mistress to me.
1615 - Helpful Gurls
Original: Millie The Model comics, #104

You actually find yourself having a "Total Bridal Makeover" at Vaingirls salon , pledging Q T Pi sorority, taking your military leave as a GI Josie, or (going way back) watching Transavenger in action or joining the Avis Gurls' Club. 1619 - Overstaying "Her" and Her WelcomeOriginal: Falling In Love comics, #46 Steve's mother isn't mad because he's gay, her feelings are hurt by the fact that he felt he couldn't tell her. I find her a little cruel in that she's willing to punish poor Mark as the means of bringing him out of the closet ... Here's 1621 - 1625
1621 - The Summertime Pinks
Original: Skip Beat manga, #3
What did the boy do that was so bad in the eyes of his sister and especially his mother that not only was he girled, but age regressed and princessed, too? I leave that up to you, dear reader. Let me know.
1622 - Labeling Error
Original: Girl Confessions comics, #26

1623 - Bimbo With A Badge
Original: True Stories of Women In Crime magazine, November, 1949
This cover was inspired by the vice squads that use only male members in extremely passable from the skin out drag as street operatives. ... of course they're all located in The TGfiction Zone.
1624 - Voice Lesson
Original: Girls' Romances comics, #151
This was inspired by all the "You dumped me so I'm going to turn you into a girl so no other girls will want you! (,,, so you'll never have male sex with another woman - ... so you'll never hurt another woman - ... etc.)" stories out there.
1625 - Golden Gurl

Here's 1626-1630. ENJOY!
1626 - Born Again
Original: Just Married comics, #33
The expressions and body language of the two inspired this one. ... Any suggestions as to why the secretaries would have done this and why they haven't been around to check up on their "work"?
1627 - Dead, But Not Gone
Original: Popular Detective magazine, January, 1953
Ah, Love!
1628 - Pink Arrow
Original: A vintage postcard, Cover Browser's #679
I would love to try this look! - The girl's, not Cupid's; been there, done that, a Halloween I'd like to forget.
1629 - Machine Made
Original: DeathHawk comics, #2
I'd never heard of DeathHawk comics before I found this cover. There is no text on it, so the actual story might be the same as my take on it. If anyone knows, I'd like to hear from you.
1630 - Frarority
Original: I took this from Miles' Tasteful TG Caps. My take is completely different from his.
This seemed a perfect Q T Pi group picture with the contrasting hair color but simmilar attire as a metaphore for the difference in sex but similarity in gender of it's members. (Although the photo is more likely 1932 than 1952.)
I think this is my first real Horizontal issue.
Vaingirls, Inc. now has a legal working relationship with Q T Pi national. Vaingirl Bethany had been a Q T Pi gurl while in college and she brought the unique bi-sexual but uni-gendered sorority to her boss's (Joyce Hall, Vaingirls' founder) attention when she joined the V-girls in 1979. A partnership seemed a natural! In the 1990's, Avis Gurls' Clubs, Inc., started by Vaingirls, Inc. in 1978 for gurls up thru high school, entered into a relationship with Q T Pi where the group became the Club's official sorority. While there is no legal relationship, there is usually a Faux Filly franchise (VG is the parent company) in towns where the local college has a Q T Pi chapter, and many returning servicemen who had been GI Josies after enrolling in college under the GI Bill become Q T Pi gurls. It's very hard for me to enter delurk mode, but I finally had to break down and say "Thank You" for all the Vaingirls covers. Far and away my favorite series of recaps.
